@KTV 4U No doubt And I always say that whenever people talk about live concerts, no one is more alive then them, but you can't lie they get a little sloppy no fault of there own and If I was going to listen to them live I would only listen to them up to about 92 anything past that studio versions are better. Besides there snm I liked that for some reason.

@@richardkranium2944 Same dude. One thing I’ve always liked about Metallica. Too many metal bands have solos that are just pissing contests on how fast they can play a few notes. I appreciate how Metallica doesn’t throw melody and rhythm to the wind with a lot of their solos. Pantera is another band with some really good melodic solos.

James sounds full of fury here. Love it! Excellent backing vocals from Jason as always. Rob is the better player but Jason beats him hands down for backing vocals and stage presence

I was there !! I was 18 and just finished basic training at Fort Benning ! Flew into Seattle my cousin picked me up and the next day rocking at the Key Arena to Metallica ! What a Epic show !

A 3 hour drive and the presence of mind to go and I could’ve been there, dang!

When that album came out me and my friends were 17 and jammed in my townhouse basement. We tried one but never could tighten it like the boys of legendary metallica. To this day that song makes me feel alive. Thank you metallica.

Gives me tears watching this. Absolute master piece. Wished I was there for it. The 80s sounded awesome!

This James, a real king of lyrics and vocals,a beast of energy, this Jason, a Prince of performance and back vocals, this Kirk’s intro riffs.... all these are the Metallica soul, the soul of my youth... And we’re still going 🤘🏻

They are the stuff of legend. Regardless of how they are now, they existed in this state. Completely untouchable.

Something about that intro with the crowd cheering is so beautiful. It's reminds me of protagonists finally achieving their big goal in a movie. I can imagine how they felt in that stage seeing so many fans, knowing that they made it big. And holy shit, the heavy part of this song. The lighting makes it 10x better. I could say how I wish I was there but I can't do much about it. I would definitely kill to go back to the past and see this concert.

One was still new in 1989, so by this time they probably played the song less than 50 times in concert. They sound really sharp in this concert.

This song was my introduction to Metallica when I was around 12 years old. I bought the And Justice For All Album back in 1989 and they have been a staple in my life.

Easily their pinnacle in songwriting and live performance. Their best album despite the lack of bass guitar.

Imagine the lights go black, you can’t see anything, smoke machines and weed fill the air. Everyone’s screaming. A firework goes off and that’s the only form of lighting you get. Suddenly the 7th beer feels like nothing. You’re sober as shit. You slowly realize THE SONG from 88 is finally coming on. The hairs on your arms begin to stick up.As they drop into the most heavy and simultaneously clean sound you will ever hear, reality melts away.

I miss Jason with these guys. That harmony between him and James is great. These were Metallica's better days so to speak. Of course the early days with Cliff were even better.

I disagree, Cliff was amazing and a major part of Metallica’s growth as musicians. By Mr Newstead was hands down the best man to fill the position of bassist. Sadly he’s admitted himself he cannot play this kind of music on a bass anymore due to arthritis.

I find myself here every day. I dont know what it is. The power, the presence, the intensity, the head-banging, the togetherness, the lighting, the sound, its all just insanely good i would of giving arms and legs to be there.

It’s crazy how amazing Lars was, crazy smart with the change ups.

That Kirk solo is legendary!!!

This has to be one of the best songs of all time in my opinion.

I was 7yrs old, and everybody under 30 watched mtv like it’s TikTok today. And all I remember from this era was Guns N Roses & Metallica Ruled the Rock world for yrs & kept releasing good music. Micheal Jackson & Madonna controlled the pop world. Then about 2yrs later Nirvanas smells like teen spirit & Nevermind album changed everything , like overnight. The direction of music & the 90s , even the fkn sitcoms changed .

Amazing concert, probably it’s one of the best concerts of metallica and the performance of one it’s better than other because james sing with fury.
