All music is "real music" Metal is about a lot of things but musical elitism is not one them.
@albertoftasmania
Жыл бұрын
@@unvaxxeddoomerlife6788 Whilst I don't like musical elitism, usually, I cannot agree with the sentence "'real music' is whatever you like." Any mass-produced "song" (easily identifiable by having that one digital snare beat), usually rap that's been auto-tuned, and often sounds hollow, is not "real music" for the reason that there is nothing in it -- no talent, skill, depth, or creativity. It's just been put out there (probably by the little hats) to get the money of the 13 year-old, ebonic speaking, perm wearing, zoomer twits to fork over their money. Please don't take that as "every song must have real instruments", I quite like a lot of electronic music or music which has been made entirely with computer programs (though, I prefer real instruments when possible).

@albertoftasmania

@@Treevor Depends what type of rap. I really quite like the Beastie Boys, and Egg White is pretty funny and at least has interesting lyrics (even if he raps over a pre-made backing track). Supposedly old gangster rap was good, though I've never really listened to it. If it's that modern, autotuned, crap with the exact same digitally-sythesised drum beat that you're talking about, then yes it is "real music" only in the sense that it exists and technically fits the definition of music, but it isn't real music. It's corporate, mass produced shit made to sell merchandise, shows, and get streamed a lot on music streaming-services by and to young westerners. It's much the same with a lot of popular music, since record labels have always wanted something easy to sell rather than something actually pleasing to the soul. However, it's much easier to appreciate this older pop music when this age's counterpart is so boring, annoying sounding, and devoid of any sign that someone with musical talent took part in it's creation that it makes the mass-produced pop music of the early-mid 2010's sound fun and interesting. It's a bit of a cycle in that regard.

I haven't been here since 1980 something when this song was released, but I gotta say, I'm glad that this song is reaching new heights, new audiences and new life as of late. Thrash metal isn't dead and it makes me happy

I’m 49 and never enjoyed this originally. Just getting into maiden, Metallica, kiss etc. Loving it and have it on repeat at work (I’m a teacher ffs). Obey your master!!
Gracias Eddie por hacernos recordar esta canción

Master of Burton .....You're missing Cliff. I still remember when I first got Kill em All in 1983
I have been listening to Metallica since high school..(born in 1978). This is the music!!! 🤘
It makes me so happy to see the band I grew up with and love the most is getting another round of publicity for how good their music is!
When I heard this, when watching Eddie jam. I got goosebumps. 🤟🏻Metal for life🤟🏻
I remember hearing MoP for the first time and thinking to myself this is much more than one of the best thrash metal albums ever recorded, this is one of the best albums of any metal genre.
It’s amazing listening to a live performance on full volume! Especially Metallica!
I also fell of the chair watching stranger things and this song played. Brought me back to high school 🔥🔥🔥
