Metallica - Creeping Death guitar solo lesson (with tablatures and backing tracks)

Музыка

Epic solo from Ride The Lightning album.
(for those who follow my updates, I haven't taken off my splint to play that one :D , it has been recorded one month ago)
2 things about this one :
-bar 5 : it would have been more correct to play 20th instead of 21th because this note is out of the scale. But this is how it's played in the original, so...
-bars 19-22 : tremolo picking with the right hand, sort of random trills mixed with slides up with the left hand. It sounds weird when you play it slowly, but much better at the normal speed.
Support me on Patreon / stephcosta to get the tabs in guitar pro 5 and several backing tracks to practise.

I absolutely love the way in measures 19-22 how Kirk literally “creeps” up the fretboard with those two fingers. So cool.

It sounds much better that way. And also with some solos it can be a good rhythm exercise or a good way to warm up.

@@mrcipher8101i bet you have no rhythmic understanding or music theory. anyone can play music, hardly anyone can make it. i could play insane solos only with 1 year, but as soon as anyone asked my knowledge of solo improvisation, music theory, i was stumped. learn theory, and don’t try to one up others too.

I‘m practicing this daily for about half an hour and I went from playing at 50% to 75% to 87,5% in a matter of days. Although it seemed inhumane in the beginning. (I do play for quite some years but I never tried the solos because I thought they were impossible. Did Fade to Black, MoP and now this is my third)

I really like your picking technique . Really good attack but clean at the same time . This is hands down my favorite Hammett solo . Sandman , Unforgiven , Of Wolf and Man and Through the Never are up there as well . All that to say in a round about way of acknowledging a guitarist whom get unfairly maligned and you did his stuff justice .
