What is the tuning? Is it standard? I tried to pick it by ear, but it seemed like recording is lower than standard.
@StephLeGratteux2 күн бұрын
I play in standard tuning. There's something weird with the original song : the song is in standard tuning but the part with the solo seems to be almost a half step higher... So the first note E sounds almost like a F 🤔 Anyway there is no such weird thing in the live versions of course

Great choice for number 400 and congrats on that too! I like so many, love this song, and this solo. I really like Michael’s playing and you did a great job with this. As usual, I like the ultra slowed down parts for some of the trickier portions. Thanks for that! Again, congrats on 400 and have a great weekend when it gets here. 🤘

Killer song, but the solo sounds like a beginner venturing out on his first improvisation try except for the last couple of bars. Listen to the solo without the music and its horrible. Good thing he got much better later on in his playing. In McAuleySG, I didn't recognize Schenker at all. He actually played his ass off in those 2 albums and played very well. Before Zakk Wylde, to me, one of the most overrated players especially out of that era. Mathias Jabs was by far better in the Scorpions and his brother stomped him in song writting. You, however, always do a great job and this was no exception. 🤘 I just can't stand his playing other than in McAuleySG.
@StephLeGratteux2 күн бұрын
Thanks. Funny because I've never been a huge fan of Jabs and I always thought he was the "worst" (better to say least good) lead guitarist in Scorpions. I don't know very well Schenker's job on MSG albums because I rarely focus on the guitar playing when I listen music (I know it's a bit weird comingrom a guitarist) and I always found the MSG songs less inspired than in Scorpions.
