@@JulienMENARD haha oh I am not a KZread star lol I quit youtube last summer. But seriously you are a monster with these lessons! I played for 20 years and took off for 6 years to getting my chops back and your videos are so helpful as all I do is collect and play Metallica and my own songs I wrote. I sometimes slow the video down of yours to see exactly the notes and pull offs etc. (like Memory Remains I kept missing that one pull off in the verse and was missing a note :) )

At 3:11, for those two chords at the end of the bar you should be playing 4th fret of D-string as part of the chord (along with 5th fret of A), not 7th fret of D. ie It's not a standard power chord (although the earlier single chord at 3:08 is a standard A5-D7 power chord). Then the same pattern at 3:12 to 3:16.

At least, that's what I can hear in Metallica's cover. Brian Tatler the guitarist from Diamond Head (who co-wrote the song) has done a recent KZread tutorial in which he just plays standard power chords in both instances.

@@JulienMENARD yeah sorry for answering this slow, but idk i just dont feel the gain that i usually hear in most of metallica covers, i mean you are basically trying to make people learn the song so thats why i feel the guitar like you know with a lower gain than usual, also that its not quad tracked but that its better for learning

@@JulienMENARD i noticed that it was by the palm muting, its like a little bit closer to the fretboard and that gives you a cleaner palm muting that doesnt feels like the sound of the guitar being stopped but being raw at the same time

@@lasang.. compare to the original, or live version, different era of the band and you will notice they don’t have such amont of gain we can hear in the most cover video on KZread. Too much gain will cut your dynamic and you will loose some nuances in the playing. Metallica is not a black metal band for guitar tone 😅
