Exactly right!

She can sing for over 5 hours in her concert. You are right she has a very wide range and I can’t wait for you to watch My Sea live concert clip. She had hearing difficulties and was in great pain while she sang this song.

I do have to say I really recommend checking out the studio version for this one as well (in your own time, no need to react, unless you want to I suppose you could watch the music video). It's for the same reasons I talked about in the Jam Jam reaction, because of so many overlapping vocal parts (even more in this song) there is just SO much backing track necessary to perform this live (which again, is fine), I just feel like it's kind of a different experience. That said this is a really great performance and recording! I do agree with the comparison to Jam Jam as well in the sense that they are both very playful and quirky in a similar way. Fun fact: Gahyeon covered this song during one of Dreamcatcher's Halloween concerts, back in 2021(when Gahyeon was 23 in Korean age, of course). Gahyeon has also covered another IU song, "dlwlrma", in a special clip on Dreamcatcher's channel, that one is also really good! For some reason it fits Gahyeon really well. Twenty-Three's lyrics I think are about how confusing your early twenties can be and the dichotomy of wanting to stay young but at the same time wanting to grow up; and in the middle of the chorus she sings about a fox pretending to be a bear pretending to be a fox; and I thought it was funny when Gahyeon covered it because Gahyeon is known as the "fox" of Dreamcatcher. Btw if you are wondering what the heck "dlwlrma" means, I can explain 😅Korean computer keyboards have of course Korean symbols and on the same keys usually the letters of our Roman alphabet. Basically if you type "이지금" (i jigeum) in Korean but leave it on the Roman alphabet settings, it spells "dlwlrma". The ㅇ is on the same key as the D, the ㅣ is on the same key as the L, the ㅈ is on the same key as the W, etc. "이지금" means "this moment", but it is also very close to "이지은" (Lee JiEun), which is IU's real name. IU's instagram handle is also "dlwlrma"; instagram only allows Roman alphabet in their usernames after all. It's like her own inside joke 😊And so yeah the song title "dlwlrma" is pronounced "i jigeum" (ee jee guhm) and means "this moment". Anyway hope you will be checking out that song as well haha

hmm, thats getting recommended a lot for this and Jam jam, I think I will check it out. we will see about a video, I never had that feeling of wanting to grow up LOL! but I do like Dreamcatcher haha! ok! I was wondering but I just assumed that it was like a nickname of some sorts I wasnt about to try and pronounce LOL but I do like that meaning though, its very sneaky! I think I will! I was kinda curious about it as is, with such a weird name I was wondering what it was

Thank you for this reaction and technique talking, I like all IU songs, all of them but, the ones who make me close my eyes quite often make me cry for no apparent reason like Through the Night, love poem, raindrop, Ending Scene, Dear name etc they all fall in a particular register that somehow heals me. Yes they can make me cry but afterwards I always fell much better like cleansing all stupid stress sources. I don't know how she does it and why she seem unique to me in this ability but, it works all the time. I would like to know if she can move the source of the sound inside her or what tools she use to make that possible. anyway thanks again.

@@Killdeer25 Thank you so much but, don't stress to much on it. If you are as curious as I'm knock yourself out. However been old and somehow wise, I'm just happy because she has that talent. When it comes to singing I'm talentless but I can appreciate IU is really really special!
