For some reason I do really love that drum part at the end of the first chorus and again at the end of the song; and also the way she starts the chorus, the "pu-reu-reun u-ri wi-ro" haha if you know what I mean, that part that seems difficult to sing without stuttering haha. I love this song a lot, I don't think it hit me right away when I first heard it, I think my impression was very positive for sure, but maybe part of me was also subconsciously prejudiced about such a saccharine concept, but it grew on me so much and I also don't want to analyse too much why, because I know it just makes me feel so warm and floaty even when I'm not thinking about the music video, but now that I saw it again it really portrays perfectly that magical feeling I get when I listen to it 😊 Oh at the Golden Hour concert I saw, this performance was also amazing, she literally floated over the crowd during this song, in a hot air balloon that looked like a strawberry coloured moon, I'm not making this up. Wow. Only IU 😊

Right???! She's so lovely. In her presence I would be a stumbling fool lol My husband and I also have a working Super Nintendo still. He's so excited he just got a light gun that works with lcd tv's so he can stop playing games on old crt's. Although they do add to the atmosphere.

IU did say that she meant for this song to be simpler, w/o too many metaphors and symbolism etc. Simething to just enjoy. So along those lines I think you nailed it. However, there is enough there to tie it to the other 3 songs. In IU MV's there is no such thing as a coincidence. For one you have the appearance of the train but not a real one but rather a memory of one has they come out of her keepsake. There are a few other things as well that could be viewed as tying the songs together, something she does often. NOTE: At her Golden Hour Concert in the Olympic stadium, which was her 1st concert since her release of Eight, her Lilac album and her single Strawberry Moon. One of the things that worried her about performing in such a large venue was the inability to really interact with the fans in the upper deck. Her solution. Sing Strawberry Moon from a Hot air balloon as it floated around the stadium. I don't know if that has ever been done before ever. In her 2 part behind the scenes video she is riding in the balloon and rehearsing her song during a rain storm. She said she was nervous and the pilot asked her if she was and that made her more nervous, lol. I watch a lot of IU reactions, as in everyone I can find. I particularly like those done by people who have experience and knowledge of the music industry in general and singing in particular. I really like to watch reactors who know about singing like voice coaches, as I have learned to listen to singers in a different way. Sometimes voice coaches get a little too technical for, way beyond my ability to even understand what they are saying much less what is required to perform and execute what they are talking about. Along that line in this video you were talking about her core and breath control, which is something every voice coach talks about and is amazed at with IU. And how effortlessly she handles that and how easily she moves between chest, head and nasal voices and placement. You however, were able to explain her breathing and vocal cord control in a way I have not heard before and make it something that I am better able to understand. So thanks to you for that. I think it have set a record by going the longest without mentioning her visuals, lol. Usually it is within the first minute. Unless I missed something I think you last like 8 videos. LOL. I dont know when your 1 week club ends, I will be sorry when it does, and I hope you continue to have IU in your rotation after it ends. But before if ends I high recommend a couple of songs. I mean her discography has almost 300 songs, but there are a few that are iconic. 1- Love Poem live clip I sent a link to you earlier. It is in my opinion one ofvthe most beautiful songs with a beautiful message. It is about realizing that you can't fix the problems your friends or loved one are going through, but you can provide the silent support so they know when they come through their "especially long and dark night" you will be there. Have tissues handy. 2- My Sea the Golden Hour concert performance, that ends the offical part of the concert. My Sea is a song about becoming who she is. With lines like "did I really have to hurt that child that much just to become me". And how she became lost. The person looking back at her in the mirror was awkward. How she wanted to ride a wave get away. This is also one of her most beautiful and most covered songs. 3- Dear Name there are several iconic performances of this song the live clip and her 2017 Melon Music Award show performance that includes Through the Night and Dear Name. Dear name has a back story (surprised). During one of her concert in Hong Kong her staff had distributed placards where people could write below the banner which said My Name is, and they were to hold this up when IU sang the song. It so surprised and moved IU that she almost came to a stop. Since then it has been a thing for this song. At the MMA perform however they take it a new level. The song is about not forgetting a person and by always remembering their name they remain with them. 4- Through the Night. While appearing on Suga pod cast IU said their were three songs she wanted to be remembered for. Knees (a song about her Grandmother who raised her) Heart and Through the Night. 5- Hold My Hand Love Poem concert performance. It is the first song for which IU received sole writing credit. Released in 2011 as part of the Sound Track for the kdrama The Greatest Love. Others to watch for that will show you even more of the range of her music. Blackout ZEZE (this one has a big back story and is the only real controversy IU has had to deal with unfairly) The Visitor The Meaning of You ( it us a cover and one of my personal favorites)

This is one of the songs I already knew and like so much. When I think of IU musically, I always think of these whimsical and colorful music videos and her airy voice. She definitely is lovely. Which is why you should check out her acting because she's played some pretty un-IU like characters. She and D.O both shocked me finding out they were pop singers after first knowing them as actors. They both can truly act completely outside of their musical personas.

oohhh! you found Kyungsoo as an actor first? I am not quite sure exactly what to expect in terms of music and video from IU but that voice is very distinguishable though, it almost should be trademarked lol

@@Killdeer25 Yes, I found kpop because of Kyungsoo. I watched a film he was in and thought he did so well I googled to see what else he acted in, only to discover he was a kpop artist. Which, if you ever watch any of his films or shows, you would never guess in a million years he was an idol. So just to wrap my head around this actor being also one of these cheesy kpop singers (my belief at the time having never heard kpop) I watched an EXO video. And here we are now. 😁
