I have listened to every AJ Song and only on the EDM tune "Above the Water" have I Suspected (NOT Proven!) the use of Autotune. John, her poise and confidence even at 8 years old on a visit to the USA from Norway to do this Show explains a lot of what's going on. She sings FOR her audience, not to them. By this time in her life she already had an idea of how her singing affects people and her desire in life is to make make people happy, give them hope and feel the love in her heart. What"!? Yes, incredible for such a young person but it is what it is! Goosebumps, tearing up (or full out crying) and being unable to speak with fluidity during or just after she sings is an indication she has touched your heart with her love and your heart will never let her go. Not only is her voice with soulful tones galore and hints of jazz so out-of-this-world but many people in the industry have regarded her as an artistic genius. Since she was 9 years old she has been covering classic songs in such a way she actually creates a brand new version of the song and I know this may sound like, "No, that's impossible!", but often times her version is better than the original. John, so much more to say but I'll leave you with this. ALL OF HER MUSIC from 7 years old onto the present (she's now 17) is very much worth listening to. As you just heard here you won't be listening to a kid singer. Physically she is a normal young girl but inside of her, well everyone has an opinion and you can come up with one as well. Btw, the soulfulness in her voice literally comes from her soul and converts into love when you hear her sing FOR YOU.

Occasionally the stars align to produce a once in a generation talent. In AJ's case she was fortunate enough to be raised in Norway, a country that protects, appreciates and celebrates their young artists. Just count the times she has performed at Festivals and been featured on Norwegian TV. As an added bonus Norwegians especially appreciate jazz which is AJ's happy place. She grew up in a protective environment that emphasized a normal childhood for her rather than a quick buck. Most important, her grandmother, a child prodigy herself, recognized very early that Angelina was also a talented prodigy and has supported and guided her since the beginning. It has been said that AJ's grandmother, Mery Zamani's most important artistic achievement (of which there are many) has been the nurturing of this unique talent. At her very earliest performances Angelina stated that she wanted to be a superstar to be able to sing to the world. Go back to when she was 6 in a sound booth at her school in Norway singing "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. Get the one with sub titles. Remember that most kids her age of 6 are still learning there native language Norwegian and it's grammar while learning English and some others at home etc. You will be blown away. I think there are videos of her doing it on more than 30 occasions, including rehearsals and fragments.
