@@bardknight definetely, i actually got into BMTH after amo dropped, i never liked their Deathcore era and i used to make fun of them. But man was i wrong. i actually started with amo and i really enjoyed even though i'm a metalhead, but this is the perfect balance of their older stuff and later TTS/amo softness (which i really love too)

@@eugenbotnaru9155 Yeah, I don't really enjoy their first records. I appreciate them for what they are and I can listen to them if I'm in a specific mindset, but they are not interesting for me. I first heard a couple of songs from Sempiternal but didn't think much of them. Then a friend told me about That's The Spirit and that's when I first got into them. I went back and actually loved Sempiternal and as they've kept releasing stuff, they've become one of my top bands. Survival Horror is at least top 3 for me this year. As shitty as 2020 has been, it's been great for music releases.

@@bardknight as much as old fans love to hate on amo, i think what they did was absolutely brilliant. they released amo, which is really easy to like if you've never listened to BMTH before, but it leaves you wanting more, so you search for more of their stuff, and it's much easier to appreciate after you've had a bit of experience with the band and their newer stuff. that's how you turn regular people into listening metalcore, brilliant. and BMTH could only play pop and techno for the rest of their careers and i wouldn't have a problem with it, because they manage t do it awesomely and with high quality, still complex. i don't have a problem when bands change style if the final result is great and still has their signature

Finn H. Yup linkin park did the seamless transitions a lot for their concept albums like A Thousand Suns. Really brings the entire album together and kept the musical journey going.

This album is literally a perfect cross section of their last 4 albums.

I can understand people saying the “put me out my misery” is an LP reference but it’s a fairly common saying. Maybe a bit of a stretch. However you can definitely hear the general LP inspiration.

Not really whole album. This is the most linkin park song then the teardrops (itch for the cure as well but not a song really). All other ones I don't think so.

This song isn’t heavy, but I still think it’s one of the best they’ve released. It’s really an amazing track. Such a great chorus with amazing lyrics.

This album is so good it's a joke. Amo was alright, they were trying weird shit but it lacked energy, But holy shit this album is INCREDIBLE.

I can finally explain my favourite type of songs: and its this one I love the other songs too but there is something about melodic songs that i adore

I didn't hear this the first couple times I heard the song, but now it sounds like a mix of more recent Ronnie Radke and rock from bands like Breaking Benjamin or Linkin Park. I love it.

FYI, the guest vocalist on this song is the lead singer of Nova Twins. Really great band if you've never checked them out before, all-female POC duo from the UK that play dubsteppy/EDM-influenced rock music. Saw them at Download last year and they were pretty cool.

BMTH have blown me away with this release. I knew this EP was going to be great, but Jesus Christ.

BMTH is just a heavier modern-day Linkin Park. Started from heavier beginnings, then proceeds to make every album something different and unique.

I really thought nothing could top Ludens for me but this is everything I love in terms of music perfected. I generally think this might be my new favorite song it's so good!

Favourite song of this album hands down. The whole things bangs. The contrast between the piano and Lee's chugs and riffs is just tasty. It's just a fucking awesome track.

Thought the same. The beginning drums start like a FIR song.

I think this song was so "in-tune" emotionally and everything was complimented. The drums complimented the song, the guitarist complimented the piano and the piano complimented the background.

I'm glad they went back to the "that's the spirit" type sound. I'll always be partial to albums like suicide season or there is a hell, but everything leading up to amo is OK in my book. I have yet to listen to this album but bmth was my favorite band all through high school and having heard this song and parasite eve I have high hopes

Idk if i get more linkin park advent children vibes or resident evil vibes.... But I love it.

This song and Teardrops are the best of the album in my opinion

When I thought of experimental this is the level I was expecting or what Sempiternal was, still heavy but has a bunch of other influences and a different kind of energy. Amo was like a step in the wrong direction for me to hear, Post Human: Survival Horror seems to have found the best balance for experimental and metal. I highly expect them to just go full pop for the next one but it was a good run.

This whole album has been banger after banger! I usually don't download full albums anymore, but I think this will be an exception 🤘😈
