As someone that's done music mixing for a while (not professionally, I'm still definitely an amateur) When you layer 2 vocal layers similarly like what he showed in the video, but eeeeeeever so slightly drag one so it's slightly behind or ahead of the other track, you'll get a similar sounding effect like what you hear on Alex's voice here. Atleast, that's the only way I can explain how he got that sound without effects.

The beginning riff of this song reminds me of Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura. Some of the this song reminds me of the very end of their other song Baba Yaga.

You totally didn't look too deep into the narrative of the album which I think is one of the coolest parts of it.... but besides that, I think trying to keep comparing it to "previous" stuff isn't the way to go. Bring Me has never made the same album twice and that's what keeps their music fresh. I don't want this album to sound anything like the last EP, and I don't want the next one to sound like this project. I would not count it not sounding "familiar" as a BAD thing. They take any sound and roll it into a Bring Me The Horizon song - so even N/a gets me excited. These Post Human albums are very experimental and that's why I've loved them so much. Even though this album isn't as HEAVY as Survival Horror, I find myself liking it more - the song writing is better, the melodies are catcher, and it feels more complete
