I have memories of playing this ride on machine in Great Yarmouth in 1989, I was a spotty teenager at the time.

That game was released in Australia 🇦🇺 as well. I played it a lot when I was a kid Metal Haw was very addictive.

Many years later and Metal Hawk is available on consoles! Hamster has it as part of their "Arcade Archives" along with the similarly styled (and awesome) predecessor Assault. I was lucky enough to play a Metal Hawk original machine when I visited Los Angeles many years ago, in one of the Nickel City arcades - was so surprised to see it!

The arcade cab was released worldwide including North America. Arcade Archives finally rereleased for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch at home. The PS4 version did have flight stick controller support in order to mimic the arcade controls as the arcade cab had. Still trying to get public attention to make a flight stick controller for the Nintendo Switch before the release of Ace Combat 7 on that port this July so I can use it on other flight arcade games

Good review. Music was composed by Shinji Hosoe, who also did a great job with Dragon Spirit.

Loved playing this game, there was one in Timezone Knox, Melbourne Australia. Every time I went I played it at least once. It was the full moving version.

I've seen a Metal Hawk Machine in Eilat, Israel, at the "Mutiny bay" entertainment center at the hotel "Club Hotel Eilat", I tried it and played pretty badly. I really agree it's fun, and that it has an excellent music! This game is really good for its time!

Just saw the video on your channel featuring it. Interesting how the one there has a Green and yellow paint job, makes me wonder if the one we have had it's paint re-done to silver. Got some real rare games on some of those arcades in Israel! :)

This is an awesome game, I have one and I'm thinking about selling it. It has a few issues that I need to sort out first.... Does anyone know what they are worth?

It's on switch and PlayStation 4 (presumably can use hotas controller) arcade archives now, I also it's a miss opportunity for namco they could off port to SNES and it better game mechanics than Sega thunder blade
