THIS GAME IS beyond its time! wow i want a reboot of this

*Thank You!* for years I have been scouring forums, KZread and every concievable arterial of the web trying to extrapolate the darn name of 'that arcade game where your a pair gloves that punches dudes in the face'.

Not bad for 1990. With more Uzi, more diverse enemies and smoother animation this could have been quite good.

Just won this on Ebay for AES.

When i saw this in the arcade I was thinking "They finally did it!!" . Even though we had seen Operation wolf, the fact you could see the guy's hand and fight made it seem like a true first person view..I thought it was amazing!

For a Super Spy, dude sure gets caught up a lot.

The $300 a cup joke was genius.

Made it to level 15, got somewhat lost and totally fed up, then quit. Mindnumbing.

I played this at a pizza hut once and totally forgot about it till today!!!

this is awesome, I found this stand up cabinet game it was the first time I played a game like this a 3d almost first person type game very cool for a 9 year old. very cool for 1990

Totally agree - this was really cool to see a the time - first game i saw that seemed truly first person

"Walk into my knife...if you get stabbed it's not my fault." That should be a quote in an action movie.

Been looking for this on MVS. Very tough to find. Great memories playing this at my local pizza joint back in 7th, 8th grade.

Can't go wrong with some Neo-Geo arcade goodness.

For a game that came out in 1990, the graphics are really really good.

😱DAAAAAAAAAAAMM. 2 Freakin hrs? That's a ton of quarters AT LEAST. I do remember playing this in the 90's, worth it. On a home console, 2hrs is no issue...not on an arcade cabinet😫.

Mark, when filming tube monitors, like the one in the arcade machine, set your camera to a slower shutter speed, (like less than 80), it will resonate in a slower frequency than the monitor and eliminate those lines. That is, if you are using a DSLR camera, or one with shutter speed control. Just a little tip to make the show better! :)

This review is so Full of memorable and quotable dialogues

I started laughing so hard a t the "I don't want to die this way" guy, it creeped my out originally, but now it's hilarious.

Whoa! Blast from the past! I was one of the few spoilt brats who owned this back in the day (and still do)! I got this game along with Last Resort, Magician Lord and a few others whilst all my friends had Genesis/Megadrive or SNES! Neo Geo was so ahead of its time and great to own an arcade at home!

I have to admit watching this all of the set pieces looked kind Archer like. Every time a coffee machine blew up I swear I heard "that is how we get ants."

Hallway Walking Simulators are a very underrated genre

I thought being a spy involved countless hours of espionage training and recon missions. But it seems it involves walking down a hallway stabbing ninjas. We obviously do it different over here :)

Actually, the Classic in CGR is a reference to the old show back in the early 2000's simply called "Game Room", as in the review style is the same as it was before, or at least it was. Also, some of the episodes are called "Classic Game Room HD" but the HD stands for something else.

Super Spy was ahead of its time, but the model was handled better in Crossed Swords. Check it out if you have not played it. Again way ahead of its time as a very early Neo Geo title from 1990. You could also save your progress in this Arcade RPG.

Scary part is that it's not that less advanced than Call of Duty and other FPS today

I had a Neo Geo when it game out and I payed 200 bucks for this game.

How about "ABBA Sing Star," or "SingStar: ABBA' or whatever it's called? Or you could try your hand at the 1978 Parker Bros. Merlin. Every gamer had one back in the day. STAY AWESOME! :)

Yeah, but it is called "Classic Game Room" for a reason. :-) Besides which, isn't it neat to find out about games you never knew about before?

Check out Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl. It's a first person beat-em-up that has plenty of awesome melee weapons for stabbing with.

But don't forget that 769p WILL be available if and only if you are sitting on a gnome's lap on a Wednesday between 3-5 pm. And if the video is 72 minutes long. But that's obvious.

Finally someone reviews this game! I know that is a crap and insanely hard game,but I enjoy playing it,just to see how bad it is...but it is not the worst Neo Geo game,that honor goes to Legend of Joe

Like most arcade games, it's only repetitive if you're not interested in actually doing well and going for high score on 1 credit.
