Aric is a true artist. He obviously likes to wail on the drums, but he’s bursting with so much creativity. There’s no box that this man is trapped inside of. Always inspiring.

I'm glad you started with the Drum Off, cause Aric has progressed more in 10 years than anyone I've ever seen. He was good then, he's absolutely insane now.
Aric Improta is personally my favorite drummer of all-time, like hands down. He's just a complete package on what you want in a drummer. I just can't put into good words how insanely innovative he is as a drummer. He will come down as a modern great not just a drummer but as a musician in general. I made up my mind on this completely seeing a nearly 40 minute solo Aric did on the Meinl Cymbals channel. Genuinely one of the greatest things I've seen on KZread. 🤘

Night Verses is such a criminally underrated band.
Aric is an animal. That said... there are so mayn great drummers now visible for us all to see from all kind of directions. Aric. Alex Rüdinger, El Estepario Siberiano etc. It's just awesome.

I am one of the lucky 150 drummers who played with Aric (at 11:24 - the first "hey !"). He came during the rehearsal for the Rockin'1000 show in the Stade de France on the May 13 2022 to make this video. It was really fun to play with him, he is an amazing drummer.

i'm not even a drummer and i am so jealous....he is so full of creativity and energy...he looks like such a nice fella as well..all of his social interactions seem to show him as that ..and congrast on being able to rehearse/practice with a musical god

This is nothing he has a 40 minute drum solo called "Aric Improta - "Blur-Lights in the Videodrome", if you read the description of that video, he practiced for 100 hours to account for every mistake that could happen and be prepared and that equivalets to 66 and a half hours... He also did "ZHURMË (A Noise Experiment) by Aric Improta Feat. Munky & Ra Díaz" that is so nuts... He is impressive to say the least...

IIRC the original was recorded live or all in one take and the recording was lost or corrupted, so HE DID IT AGAIN! Is definitely an amazing piece of music that any drummer can appreciate. I don't think any 4 bar pattern was repeated, once. \m/
His solo "Blur-Lights in the Videodrome" is like 40 minutes of amazing.
Amazing drummer! Never heard of him until now. What I really like about his playing more than the energy and technique, is the groove feel he incorporates with his approach!

I have seen Aric in the video jamming with Chancellor from Tool.
This guy has to be from a different planet. His skills and creativity are off the charts. All I can say is wow, just freakin, WOW!!!

No way! I was at that show at 9:10 in Holmdel, NJ. He was playing with The Fever 333 opening for Slipknot with Killswitch Engage. Aric is a monster.

I saw Night Verses (one of Aric's bands) play in Grand Rapids a few years ago. During the middle of a song, he grabbed the rigging for the lights and was doing pullups and stuff!
Oh this a classic. This one of the first KZread drummer videos I saw when I started playing.
Dudes insane been a fan ever since I seen him with Night Verses. Then seeing his solo work is just insane what this dude pulls off!
LOL!! Great video, love your humbleness and great respect for other drummers. That is were you shine as a person, which is more important than anything else in this world. Also, you’re also a fucking phenomenal drummer.

I so wish we could get a new Night Verses album. From the Gallery of Sleep is so damn good and they haven't had a follow up yet. His drumming on Copper Wasp is always so impressive to me. The little stick clicks he does as part of the rhythm are just wow.

I remember discovering the first video in 2015/16 and kept listening to it during school. The only other thing I had seen of his up until now (If I recall correctly) was him playing drums on a live performance of Superman by Goldfinger. I was like "Oh wow, it's that dude from 7 years ago".
