This is the first animated series I've seen thats genuinely made me cry. Tari went through so much shit she never asked for, and in the end got almost the worst outcome possible, being alive forever, and seperated from most things she held dear. Its super depressing and I feel really bad for her. Bravo guys, Bravo

Well done, Kevin and Luke. Well done. This was one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever watched, and now I can’t stop crying… Sure, I may have been a year or so late to *_the_* party, but hey, better late than never, right? I’ve been going back in time these past few weeks and watching your older shows that I hadn’t seen yet. First I watched all of Sunset Paradise-which was *_amazing_* as well-and then I watched this, which was quite *_digital_* if I do say so myself. And with the *_circus_* coming to town this year, I can see a lot of references back to this. If you haven’t caught on yet, look at the words in italics and bold starting with the previous paragraph. You’re welcome. But above all else, I just wanted to say thank you, for everything. You are the channel I didn’t know I needed. All these shows have given me endless joy so far, and I’m sure they will continue to do so as Murder Drones comes to a conclusion and TADC starts its (Unreal) engines. I’ve been suffering from some mild depression lately, and I’ve completely lost my hope for things to get better. The world seems to be going down the drain faster than we can plug it, and there’s nothing I can do to change that. I wish I could do something to change the world and make things right, but I don’t have any power here. However, thanks to you guys-and these wonderfully produced shows-my hope is starting to return. You two and your extremely talented team are my light in this endless darkness, and the Digital Circus is only making it brighter. Keep on rocking it, GLITCH! There's references and voice easter eggs everywhere. Listen to the captain in the beginning of episode 3. Also in sunset paradise I think e8 Auri says "I'm tired of always running" which references the meta runner s1 theme. So many more like the smg4 sticker on Sophia's tablet.

That final “goodbye guys” from Tari broke me.

This probably will be lost in the flood of comments, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. So, I am writing this a few days before episode 4 of Murder Drones comes out, and while I was waiting I decided to finally watch Meta Runner. I binged the whole 3 seasons in 2 days and I have to say this, I am upset on how long I slept on this series. It is a masterpiece and a half. It tells a beautiful story, with some amazing scenes and visuals, and I teared up at the end of it all. But I have a question for the Lerdwichagul brothers (if they somehow see this). How does it feel to have a series like Meta Runner, the series you put so much time, effort, and tears, the series you (kinda) created by yourselves, being (seemingly) overshadowed by Murder Drones, the series you did help create, just not your own personal, family made creation? I don't ask to be rude or snarky, I just want to know how you guys feel about it. Anyways, my rant is over. If anyone reads this, watch and rewatch all of Meta Runner, it's fantastic.

Plus also and I didn't know since the start of Meta Runner Belle and Lucinia were just friends and at the end well they have feelings for eachother

Well, it's been exactly one year since Meta Runner ended and honestly, I still feel sad. But still, thank you Luke for creating a timeless masterpiece and also props to the whole GLITCH team for all the hard work that went into this series. These guys did a fantastic job !!! Anyways, go watch (or rewatch) Meta Runner because it's an incredible and underrated series that deserves more love and attention !!!

This one of the saddest endings to a show I've ever watched. I still shed tears every time I rewatch it. Nothing but masterful, Meta Runner is peak. As someone who subbed to SMG4 in like 2016 I watched the entire show start and finish. What an insane crusade. I will forever remember this show.

idk why but Lucks’ part might have been my favorite part in the episode. It just hit different for me. Yes, the fact that Tari and Theo are alive in a way, the fact that they live in a server forever is kind of sad to me, but they at least seem happy that way.

That has got to be one of the most brutal deaths I've seen any of Luke's works pull off. Like, you don't die painlessly from that much electricity. I like that Lucks left on a good note at the end. He might not be the best businessman and did some pretty bad things, but he's above doing whatever Sheridan did. I respect him for that. It also seems to be a happy ending for everyone on the protagonist side. Masa lived, Lucinia was restored, the rest of the MD5 ended Sheridan's short-lived reign of terror, and both Tari and Theo got a nice cyberspace private server to themselves. A pretty bittersweet ending.

but it was also shown that the server can connect to public servers a bit so thats why tari said it was going to take a while to meet their friends again instead of saying that it won't be possible so for now its my head canon that in a few months they meet again and get a better server to keep them alive

Of all the characters I expected to defeat Sheridan, it was ultimately Marco, who I didn't greatly expect. But I was ultimately satisfied nevertheless.

The ending was good, but not perfect. A perfect ending would be them contacting MD5 via that window thing Lucks used to talk with Theo when Theo was imprisoned. They can't exist in the real world anymore, but they could have at least contacted MD5 at the end to let them know they're alive and happy.

At Tari and Theo’s memorial I felt like crying but at that moment I realised the happy ending 🥹

10/10 finale.Will greatly miss this series. The end was a perfect mix of sadness and happyness

I have no words. This has got to be the best animated show I’ve seen on KZread- there was so much emotion (me literally bawling my eyes out in the last two episodes lol) and the experience of watching this throughout the years of its creation is just- amazing. Back when you first released this show, i thought "meh, its probably something silly". Now that you released the final episode, my curiosity was peaked and i decided to check it out. Ended up binge watching this entire thing, and oh boy was i wrong. This is a true masterpiece of a story, and i want to thank you and your team for creating it.

Okay, that's exactly what happened to me, too. I remember when I first discovered SMG4, and realized Tari was a proprietary character. I just kinda shrugged at the time cause I had NO idea she had this kind of depth and complexity. Literally yesterday, I thought Meggy was a gem of a character, and Tari was sort of just a blank. That misunderstanding was my fault, and I know better now.

At first I was thinking things like "When will they finish it?" and "Why would they start and finish an entirely new show with this still unfinished?". ( Provided I did still love Sunset Paradise.) "Tari's Bizarre Adventure "

I am so glad I finally watched this show. I started watching this last week, unlike when I should've started, years ago when nathaniel bandy promoted it. Throughout these few days, I have grown attached to these characters, and I am amazed at this show. The best part is that it showed what video games are actually like, which is nothing compared to what big animation studios think video games are. I mean, they showed glitches and exploits that make sense, video games feel like video games, video game music is not stuck being chiptune, and most of all, it gave an amazing story. While it is a show about video games, I haven't heard any of the regular video game references (princess in another castle, donkey kong, etc), but it did give us some fresh video game references (link opening a chest, I have no idea is masa shimamoto is a mix of masahiro sakari and shigaru myamoto or not, but if it is, then it's an amazing reference). And plus, it didn't have much limitation, so it could do dark themes and even stabbing multiple people straight through without being told not to. I absolutely love this show, and can't wait to watch more GLITCH shows.

I love the fact that Lucks comes back in the end and takes that parting shot of his. Just that last little, Screw you! From Lucks that planted the idea and helped do it with tari. And how he just dipped immediately after just like, my time has come. fades away SO PERFECT I WAS DYING

If we completely honest, I almost cried. Rest in pixels Tari and theo 2019-2022 The fact these guys make stupid stuff on an another channel and can make an absoulute masterpiece of a talent.

When I watched the grand finale episode I started crying and shedding tears 😭. After I saw the announcement about the comic book, Meta Runner hoodie, and then when I saw that the 2nd episode of Murder Drones came out, I asked Mom to get me the Murder Drones hoodie, and she said yes, and I got the hoodies for Christmas and I said to Mom thank you and I love you.

I've watched the first 2 seasons when they first came out years ago but I have never seen the third season and watching this last episode today made me cry for a few hours but this will be my favorite animated series forever and will always hold a special place in my heart

Okay in all honesty, it was a long time since I actually cried when watching a story/movie/series, but Meta Runner has actually brought me to it again. When Meta Runner first released I thought it was just some stupid 1 episode show, since at the time I really didn't think that Luke and Kev could do something more than just run of the mill SMG4 videos, oh man was I wrong. I still remember watching Meta Runner for the first time almost two years ago I literally bingewatched the second season in one night because I was so into the show. And in all honesty I am so pleased I did, this story has brought me so many emotions that I feel like I expirienced evey single emotion there is just while watching the show. All I have to say is... thank you. Thank you Luke, Kevin and the rest of the GLITCH team. This story means a lot to me.

Honestly what a great ending I'm glad they ended it at the right time and didn't just milk it for another 5 seasons like most other shows would have. What Glitch was able to do with this series was absolutely amazing. This show was really the only series on KZread I cared about and constantly got hyped for. Although I'm sad to see it come to an end I'm glad the show got a proper send off. Thanks Glitch for the amazing series you've created. This will definitely be a show I rewatch for years to come.

they could still continue this series whenever they want, Evelyn is arrested sure but her family is rich and they can just bail her out with cash... and Tari could be imported into a fully robot body based off her old concept art, this series could absolutely come back if they need more merch or feel like it

This is the best show I’ve ever seen in my life. This episode brings me to tears every time I rewatch it. The fact that this show has evolved so much it’s absolutely amazing. I cant wait to see what you do next. ❤

wow. Just wow. I am waiting for Murder Drones episode 7 and I decided to try and give Meta Runner a shot. At first I didn't expect much, but oh boy was I wrong! This is amazing, the story is great, the character development, the music, everything. The ending even had me crying. Absolutely amazing work. It is truly impressive we can watch such a great show for free on youtube.

Dude, both of us are in the same boat, I’m now 14 to and I’m Sooo glad that everything is over. No more psychos, no more corrupt muti-million dollar corporation owners, and no more snotty prissy self entitled rich girls. But, for everyone it is sad to see the story end, and the fact that Tari and Theo will most likely never see the MD5 crew ever again……. Unless, they meet each other In One OF THE GAMES!!!

Its been 9 months ever since the final season finale and I enjoyed watching meta runner and it was actually heartbreaking how tari had to sacrifice her life just to get lucinia back with the team, but also im kinda happy that theo and tari are still alive but sad that they can,t see there friends, i know this comment was during this month, and yes evelyn got what she deserved. @@softlocker5941 well, when Tari said "maybe not for a while", and the last part of the ending song makes me think they will find a way back, besides, we're talking about a very powerful AI that seems to control part of the cyberspace (which means very reliable connection to the internet), so she will eventually find the missing parts to make themselves stable again

man I just decided to watch meta runner bc i found out glitch through murder drones, and dude how far this channel has grown is genuinely so crazy to me, this series was actually so good i loved it so much. Even if I'm late to the series its definately something to enjoy. This is beyond awesome, I loved the story. Keep up the good work glitch and i hope the future brings even more good to your channel

I finally got around to this episode after putting off the rest of the series for so long...and oh man this ending is perfect so perfectly sad and happy a perfect bittersweet that subverted expectations

I never would have guessed during my childhood that the same guys that would make goofy episodes like "Boil the Big Bully" and "Who Let the Chomp Out" and "Mario Simulator" would be capable of creating a masterpiece like this. Thank you guys for an amazing 3 years

I really enjoyed this show, and considering its the first show you've guys ever made as an indie animation studio, its REALLY WELL DONE. LIKE, PROFESSIONAL LOOKING I can see how much youve improved as a studio since season one, and even on Murder Drones, the improvement is insane! cant wait to continue watching your other shows, and i think yall did a great job on Meta Runner!

I loved the reprises of Tari’s Last Chance, Always Running, and Lucinia’s Theme Breeze. They were absolutely heartfelt and mastered perfectly. This entire series was an amazing journey to watch. Thank you Glitch, SMG4, and everyone involved. It was truly amazing

This episode make me cry more than all the other series that I've seen combined. This animated serie is beautiful, amazing, and very very good built: the story is super cool, emotional and the animation is just fire. I've never seen anything like that. It really hurts that Tari had to go through all that and then just end up in another server, forever. Well, at least she has Theo. She went though a LOT of things, she stayed alive and confident, always fighting for her friends no matter the situation, and even in the end, she sacrificed herself for Lucinia. It was beautiful and there was a lot of cry. But I'm very glad Evelyn went to jail, that is one thing that I wanted :). But hey, not everything's lost: MD5 will always remember her as their loyal friend and captain, and I thing that's the most awesome, amazing and beautiful thing that ould happen. But well, I gotta admit that Tari needs a break from all that, she deserves to life hapily and safely, she deserves peace and a break, fly high Tari (and Theo, the guy is amazing too, he's so caring about others too and pretty funny) and remember, that MD5 will always conserve your memory and the'll miss you. Thank you for everything, Meta Runner, and thank you Glitch and thank you everyone that produced and helped in this project ❤ (I know I'm late but Idc, I needed to watch this).

A year since this episode came out and it's always been a good one, Meta Runner will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much Glitch for creating this series for me, it's been a wild ride 💙 💙 💙 💙 💙

@@AdamAddictL well yeah she still has a body, but she isn’t able to get back to it. The ending is good because it isn’t perfect. Tari’s friends think she’s dead and Tari’s stuck in the server. It’s bittersweet because Tari is still *technically* alive, but her sacrifice was still meaningful because it brought Lucidia back to consciousness while severing Tari from her body.

Wow even when Evelyn is suffering she's still making my ears bleed, I wonder how all the other prisoners are going to handle her.

I love this ending, it shows how good of a person Tari is

never fully completed this series, but im glad i went back to it and completed it. it would be cool if they made one more special episode where they meet their friends again, but hey, thats just me.

First things first, this show is a god damn masterpiece, and I'm glad it ended on a good note, but can I mention what Masa has been through during this show? Like, He thought he lost one of his friends, that being Lucinia. Got caught breaking into Lucks server and got kicked off of the TASCorp Team. Got his lower Meta Runner arm blown off by Lucks, got it back again by cheating against Marco. Got framed for murder by Sheridan, got heavy PTSD from accidently killing Lucks. Got mind controlled by Sheridan and broke free. Got a screwdriver in the lower neck and had his Meta Runner arm entirely blown off because of the control bug exploding, and he survived. And he again lost 2 of his friends. Like seriously, the guy has been through so damn much

I just imagine a clip Siri versus a bunch of shorts that show what happened after the series like I’d be split up in 2 Half being related to her and Theo and the rest being related to the other characters like the brat I forgot her name to just a therapy session with Masa but directions seem like something they would do

Oh god I’m getting so emotional from this ending rn. I just want to say to the creators, thank you so much for giving us all this awesome and amazing experience of a show and I hope you can maybe somehow make more things about this franchise. This show will always be in my heart. Thank you! 🙂💙

i absolutely love the leitmotif (the one i like to call tari's theme) that plays several times. absolutely wonderful sound design.
