Doja Cat did her interview and she said the first flower that was useful was cotton. So the statue take is a great one, but she said herself that it's more because of the cotton as a flower so it's also a play on like the basic cotton tee

Didn’t even match the theme

When Fran says that Kendall is the first “human” to wear the dress, I imagined like a lizard or lion wearing the dress. Like she was the first human but many animals have worn this before her 🫠😅

The Garden of Time theme was based off the short story by JG Ballard which is a pretty dark story and explains why some people went that route. It's about a very wealthy couple living in secluded castle with a garden of magical glass flowers. There is a mob coming for them and they break a glass flower to turn back time and keep the mob away, but once they use all the flowers the mob will eventually reach the castle. So while the garden is beautiful it also has sinister and deeper meaning. Really interesting choice for the Met, the irony.

I liked it. I liked that it wasn’t heavy and that she didn’t look as tho she had insects on her eyelids. Refreshing change from the usual glam women including her do these days. I thought it was pretty and kinda “sleeping beauty” like.

The Doja dress is Cotton, referencing the plant and the wet look is a homage to the 18th -19th centuries when women wet their muslim gowns especially in back, to show off their bodies. The look was called "Muslim Gowns." Kinda interesting, supposedly some women died because of the cold, when they walked around the town in Winter. Look it up. Also, their are lots of "old sweater" looks from years ago on the runway by the same designer. Holding the hands up to the chest was copied by Kim, whom I detest. Most viewers who are not fashion construction and fashion history savvy, didn't understand a lot. A pretty obscure theme. 💐💐

I loved Rita Ora’s SO MUCH. it’s a costume gala! Your mindsets are way too strict for something that’s meant to be costumes and high fashion

The dress kendall jenner wore had in fact been worn by a person before. It showed on a mannequin at the show but years later was worn by Winona Ryder for a magazine cover. So I don't know who told kendall that but it's not true.
