Thanks for the review. I was seriously considering GK amp and cab, but I’ve been seeing so positive about Mesa, I’m leaning Mesa.

Clever idea to use the loop. It really gives a good sense of the range of the controls

Great video Bob. Just laid back and honest. I love Mesa. You just cannot go wrong with them. The entire Subway line of amps and cabs are so versatile. I am using the WD800 with a Subway 212 stacked on a Subway 115 for all of my large gigs. I use the 115 for the smaller ones Cheers!

I watched ur Markbass video awhile back. Sorry it happened that way with ur amp. I had just bought a new Ninja IV 1000W head. I had read where some that lost power at gigs with that amp found that the plug was not sitting tight into the back of the amp. Once they made sure the AC plug was in good n tight, they had no problem. I had MB amps when they first came out. A couple were pretty sensitive to bad power and did shut down a couple times. SO far this new NInja 1000 has been flawless. IT's the most recent model with a mute button. What I really love is the new MB58R Markbass cabs, I have two and they each weigh 24lbs. SO so light and easy to carry around. I am 66 and even my 30lb neo cabs feel heavy to me after lifting these new cabs. I am looking at a Mesa 800D or D+ as a backup. But I always take my TC ELF or GR ONE 350 heads as backups to all my gigs.

Funny thing… I was just wondering if you’d tried the new Mesa Subway stuff. Thanks for the review Bob. Lighting- yes, I’ve noticed having a bright window in the background screws up the cameras lighting adjustment.

Mic / Line XLR connection would be impedance to either mixing board or to a PA system = Line level would be for a better for a longer cable run ! A nice Alternative to having to use a Direct box or a mic stand pointing at your speaker. ( the mic) connection you could lose the Mic and just plug into the XLR on the amp and you would be good to go! Cheers brother

Hi Bob! Great video! I am on the fence whether or not to purchase the Subway D-800+ or the Subway D-800 like you have. I play mostly blues rock (i.e, early Grand Funk Railroad, early Aerosmith, early Jeff Beck, early Allman Brothers Band, early Humble Pie, early Led Zep, Deep Purple Mk II, you get the picture). I love the "DEEP" switch! So, I am not into the "bright" aspect too much. What do you think would be a "better fit"? More importantly, how is your D-800 doing? Has it ever let you down? Any problems with it so far after gigging? Would you buy it again? Thanks Bob!

@@BobBlackBass Try the Aguilar AG 700...I've never heard such a great sound bass amp in my 54 yrs! I went down to my local guitar shop and compared the Tone Hammer 700 with the AG 700 and to ME, there's no comparison, the AG 700 is way above anything I have heard. It's certainly worth a try and at 700 watts it is the loudest I've heard too. Thanks for your channel Bob!
