I always wonder if there’s any mermaids with a sci-fi mersona? Any selkies? I feel like I would identify as one of I had a mersona.

As a Minnesotan, I can tell you that you're not missing much at MOA... It's just a huge mall with huge price tags, there's really only a few good places to shop, like the chocolate/candy stores, the Disney store, Lego too if you're a fan of those, and then Nickelodeon Universe of course. I also used to work at Sealife MN, and those poor creatures were always sick, I didn't work there very long after I got to see the real behind the scenes. If you're ever back up in MN, I recommend Duluth if you can make it up there, they have a pretty good aquarium, called the "Great lakes aquarium", plus Lake Superior is an absolute sight, but be careful her waters are always cold if you wanna swim! I also recommend the MN Renaissance Festival in autumn, we have a really beautiful little "mermaid cove", along with the MN's largest candy store just down the road from the festival grounds! Used to be able to get Ketchup chips from there but they stopped selling them sadly, I wish I could buy them here in the states!

I remember we missed each other by a week in MN because I went home and then you went to mermagicon in DC and I had to go back to MN lol

I think that if you are adventurous enough then flood your nose early and adapt to the feeling then the rest of the time underwater is there to enjoy.

What pool did you swim in for the Minneapolis meet up? I have been struggling to find a place where I'm allowed to use my tail(I'm in Minnesota) I have only been able to swim in it a couple of times when I was traveling. But I have been trying to find a place to swim during the summer that isn't out of state.
