Even before Merida officially presented the new Silex, Matej Mohoric rode one of the first models to the gravel world championship title in Italy, impressively demonstrating the potential of the new Silex. During development, it was important for Merida to create a gravel bike with a very wide range of uses. In addition to the sporty attributes, the focus was on everyday use and use on long tours and bikepacking, so the frame has various attachment points on the frame and fork for various bags. Merida itself offers a bag set that is optimally tailored to the new Silex, which we mount at the end of the video.

Noch bevor Merida das neue Silex offiziell vorgestellt hat, fuhr Matej Mohoric mit einem der ersten Modelle damit zum Gravel Weltmeistertitel in Italien und stellte damit eindrucksvoll das Potential des neuen Silex unter Beweis. Merida war es bei der Entwicklung wichtig ein Gravelbike mit einem sehr breitem Einsatzspektrum zu schaffen. Neben den sportlichen Attributen stand der Alltagseinsatz und den Einsatz auf langen Touren und Bikepacking im Vordergrund, so verfügt der Rahmen über diverse Befestigungspunkte am Rahmen und der Gabel für diverse Taschen.
