This song was shot with the actress in the train and later with actors in the jeep. Then they were combined in one frame. So when the actress was making her gestures there was no jeep or the actors and likewise.

Fun Fact : When Shakti Samanta was shooting the song Mere Sapno Ki Rani, he couldn't get combined dates from Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore. Sharmila Tagore couldn't make it to Darjeeling and so only Rajesh Khanna's portions were shot, showing him driving the jeep across the hills. Since Sharmila Tagore couldn’t make it to Darjeeling, only Rajesh Khanna’s portions were shot, showing him driving the jeep across the hills. Sharmila’s bits were separately shot in Mumbai where a train set was especially put up in a studio. The two footage were later edited together to appear as if in the same frame. “I was available because I had to be available, because I was a newcomer. She was not available because she was working with Satyajit Ray in Bengal and she had dates there. So we had to match with duplicates, we had to match with supreme posing and things like that and it turned to be magic,” says Rajesh Khanna.
