Best (dancing star) of the second lead actors, my love, dear Sheela Vaaz

The Harmonium player is Shyam Kapoor who was Assistant Director to great Director/producer Guru Dutt & a permanent member of Guru Dutt Films since 1954. The song has two parts: Happy (Shamshad Begum & Rafi) & Sad (Asha Bhosle in the lead with back fillers by Shamshad & Rafi). Personally I like the happy version more.

Music In western, for us is noise, use of heavy metal and band. Here it is melody and subtle use of instruments to get into the moods of the people. Old songs are always haunt with their melody. 🙏

Dev Anand's coquettish style of walking with a rightward slant/leaning was quite famous with Bombay youngsters then in 1957. According to Marathi journalist and editor of a Marathi film weekly 'Rasrang', Sheela Vaz was from Solapur (as also Sarla Yeolekar, Faiaz and Shashikala). Her dance numberes in Shri 420 and other films were very famous. Her Begunah was banned in which she had dance number with Late music director Jaikishan playing piano.

Bollywood Retro Quality Content, mam you've very good ears. You immediately spotted Asha Bhosale ji, even many Indians can't recognise Asha Ji voice in her early movies, because of following the style of her elder sister (Living legend Lata ji). Later on she developed her own style, Which I must say is the finest female voice with exceptional modulation in patterns, very intricate yet effortless easy expression of emotion with impeccable breath control that Bollywood have ever seen. Very genuine reaction👍🙏 PS: In bollywood, we can compare be different female singers, but Lata ji cannot be compared with anyone because of her RAW feminine voice, plain, simple yet sophisticated, unadulterated voice, covering all feminine tonalities.
