They are the best jewels of that golden era. He could do anything with song & music. I like his songs the most but that does not mean that not liked other jewels like Md. Rafi, Lata Mangeskar, Manna Dey, Hemanta mukherjee ,Asha Vonshle, Mukesh they all created the all time bests. But the voice of Kishor Kumar is like divine voice. There creations never get old or boring. Every time it is refreshing to a tired soul to hear. I consider myself blessed by God to be born in those era to get them live. He will remain immortal in time to come & forever.

Sorry..its not him to do first , Mohd Rafi Saheb has done yodeling before Kishoreda. You can check it out. but one thing is, Kishoreda is the one continued nd established yodeling in hindi songs. And now a days, its very rare to listen yodeling or falsettos in hindi songs. I would say the Best falsetto last i heard from Sonu nigam only in Kill dil title track.

Can you believe it that he doesn't have any kind of traditional teaching training of music. If he have today's technology, he will be untouchable God of Indian music.

You know Arijit Singh consider him as his idol. Kishore Kumar's voice is totally different level. Here in India, most adults and older have a lot of memories connected with his songs. Good to see you reacting on this.

I divide Kishore Kumar's journey of singing in 5 different stages throughout his lifetime of singing career. 1- during his initial days around 1948-52 when he used to imitate as K L Sehgal with that heavy, harsh and with a classical touch. 2- during 1950s when he started improving and exploring his natural voice and had that clean and clear and with a little touch of softness. 3- during 1960s when his voice again started having a little transition with pitch and loudness but the innocence was maintained. 4- late 1960s till late 1970s this was the peak time for him as his voice became phenomenal and no other singers were even close to him in the race.During this time period his voice was so rich in all aspects having boldness, comical, loudness, appealing, pitch, base, versatility, maturity, resonance, etc. and could conclude with that he had expertised in all most every quality in singing during this time. Hence this one is my favourite among all. 5- and lastly after 1980s due to his increasing age, being in his 50s and having many health issues specially related to cardiac his voice acquired a major transition quality wise. Like his voice became more bold, mature with echo and in terms of loudness. But then too he kept on gathering his fans with his magical voice and always overcoming over competitors and even dominating over his co- singers by his style and voice. He sang more mature songs during this period and kept on singing until his demise. My fav singer since i was a child. All thanks to my elders who use to listen to his melodies and because of which i got the exposure to this gem of singing.

One lesser know song which is his own composition is “beqarar Dil Tu gaye Ja”. It has Kishore Kumar and Sulakshana Pandit (actress and sibling of composer duo Jatin-Lalit) singing.

Absolutely right...he was ahead of his time...by at least 25 years...the music directors who were ruling during his time did not know how to use his voice properly..it was only during the early 70s that RD Burman the rising star of Bollywood music who gave him the opportunity to show his true potential....
