@Dark Waters What is a "technical singer"? And what qualifies you to decide who is one of these? Please elaborate. One of the most flawless (male) voices in metal. What you hear on every album is what you get live. He was taught well by his mother too. She is a Danish opera singer, so that explains why his voice is in such good condition and why he has such perfect control.

Mercyful Fate sound awesome here in 2022! The King sounds great and the band is a juggernaut. My 2nd favorite 80's Metal band behind just the mighty Razor. Melissa is one of those perfect LPs. Don't Break The Oath is also first class. In 1993, when they delivered In The Shadows, it was actually on par with those two of the best albums in Metal history. "The Old Oak" is stunning. In The Shadows deserves much more recognition as, also, one of the best albums in Metal history. It was a shocker since you did not expect that they would reel off another classic, but they did. Long live The King.
