Thanks for the tip on the coil connectors, they're overly complicated. I'm almost done replacing plugs on the passenger side so now the drivers side should be a breeze thanks to your vid.

Nice video. Thanks for the suggestions. What gap did you use on the plugs?

Thank you I just followed the directions it on the spark plug box , it should have the gap and the torque spec . ( good idea to replace coil boots when you there)

Is it okay to add lube to the spark plugs? I added a little bit, but now I’m concerned that it may not be necessary

Hello , I did and when was putting the boot back on it was pushing the boot out as it created good seal so the air pocket inside was pushing the boot out , but new boots come with it so I say as you prefer .

This is great video I been working on cars for long time never heard of positioning your spark plug any protocolar way. One of the things you must do torque it down and you are set. Do t worry about position of the Ground Electrode. Not important You won’t damage your piston Your piston better not be touching valves and spark plugs. If that’s the case you won’t have to worry about replacing you spark plugs. Again this is great video. If you having issue getting boot off on some soils you have hook in middle bottom portion you can use 12gauge wire hook it on bottom than pull to the side of the side wall of the engine bay not up but to the side. For example if you working on driver side pull to the side of the fender or two o’clock. Good luck

Wrong, 100% wrong, you must index the plugs on MB V-8 engines with the Bi turbo and Direct injection or you will damage the engine!!!!!!!
