The EQS is the first all-electric luxury saloon from Mercedes-EQ. With it, Mercedes-EQ is redefining this vehicle segment. The EQS is also the first model to be based on the modular architecture for luxury and executive-class electric vehicles. Fusing technology, design, functionality and connectivity, the EQS delights both drivers and passengers. The first models to come onto the market are the EQS 450+ rated at 245 kW (NEDC combined electrical consumption: 18.9-16.2 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) plus the EQS 580 4MATIC rated at 385 kW (NEDC combined electrical consumption: 19.6-17.6 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions: 0 g/km). Fuel consumption acc. to WLTP: EQS 450+ combined electrical consumption 19.8-15.8 kWh/100 km, CO2 emissions 0 g/km; EQS 580 4MATIC combined electrical consumption 21.4-18.3 kWh/100 km, CO2 emissions 0 g/km.
INTELLIGENT PARKING PILOT: highly automated driverless parking in suitable multi-storey car parks
Mercedes-Benz goes a step further when it comes to parking: With the pre-installation for the INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT, the EQS is prepared for automated valet service (AVP, SAE level 4). Together with the required optional equipment and the corresponding Connect service (depending on the country), the new EQS has the technology on board to park fully automatically and driverless in car parks equipped with the AVP infrastructure, provided that national laws permit such operation.
The vision: The driver parks their vehicle securely within a predefined drop-off area of the parking garage and starts the parking process via smartphone app after all occupants have exited. The sensor system in the car park checks whether a suitable space is available. If so, the driver receives confirmation on the app that the vehicle has been taken over by the AVP infrastructure. Now they can leave the EQS and the car park.
The vehicle is then started automatically, and automatically drives to its parking space with the help of the infrastructure installed in the car park. Conversely, the driver can have their EQS drive up to a predefined pick-up area by smartphone command.
Remote Parking Assist: convenient manoeuvring into and out of parking spaces
Without a driver on board, the EQS is on the move with Remote Parking. However, the driver is still responsible. Remote Parking Assist[2] allows drivers to control a parking process via their smartphone and the Remote Parking App while outside but in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. This means more comfort when getting in and out and protects against damage when opening the vehicle doors.
Remote Parking Assist parks the vehicle at the driver's request and under the driver's constant control if an appropriate parking scenario has been selected via the central display in the EQS or the app on the smartphone.

Sadly, nobody has spotted the great weakness - lack of rear frontal airbags (option 302 NOT available!!!). Can so many people be so unaware???

I’ve own 4 Mercedes Benz cars 2 w126 1 w124 and 1 W140 models and I love all of those cars the and the body lines and proportions are distinctive as an s class. This car right here interior wise I agree is stunning exterior wise is a complete flop and nowhere near being elegant as an s class the concept model had the proportions spot on and they completely ruined it by watering it down to this Honda clarity looking vehicle it angers me looking at this design and being called an s class of Mercedes was honed in on the details all they had to do is take this interior and drivetrain and place it under the maybach vision cabriolet and 6 sedan and then game over.

Ya know what's really crazy, My car does all that and it's a 2008 Hyundai, it uses this thing called a steering wheel and a human being since we're still the ones responsible for any damage. You think Mercedes is gonna pay your insurance increases when their system fails, and it will ultimately at some point fail.
