This totally helped with my postal van today, I had not been able to use it for a week and had to use my truck that is on its last leg also to mention the shoulder problems I have from delivering from the middle of the truck for years. It was a five minute fix. Thanks so much.

I am here because of such a cheap bad design on the window switch. Was no need for me to take out unit, managed to get old plastic out , put spring and lug in as shown then pushed down button and sorted . Thanks for the video to see how simple the replacement is.

Thank you so much for this instructional video. I am in the US and have 2020 C43 model. I ordered a button from Amazon and it took me 1 minute to replace the broken button. I didn't have to take the whole switch control unit out.

@@pauleady4627 I ordered the replacement button on Amazon. Remove the broken button, pop in the spring pin and snap in the new button as shown in Marty's video. Good luck!

Hey Marty! Very useful video. I would like to ask you - how do you replace the whole button + switch assembly completely, not just the button itself? It should have a way to take it off the plastic board completely?

Not sure i would say you would need to unsolder it from the circuit board, i didn't go that far sorry

Hey I have a question .I have a 2016 c450. And I bought just the replacement caps for my master switch. I went through all 4 button trying to figure out how to do it. They were quite hard to pop them off being that the switch was in the door. Finally I figured it out I had the spring pin vertically but once I change it the horizontal in went on there correctly. I though I was good after scraper up all the cheap buttons caps but at least they work I said. But I spoke to soon. My window goes up and hits the top and goes back down 3/4 of a way. So get my window to say up I had to manual hold the switch to the top to stay. So what is wrong with it? $35 for the caps and I can order again but if it not staying up when I hit the button. I have to spend $171. For the part and the labor$ and the Mercedes’ stated that the door panel has to come off.. but that fine and all if thats what they do . But I would feel ripped off if they don’t have to take it off and only takes them 15 minutes or less and charge me another $200? Debating.. what should I do?

It sounds to me like it has lost its stop position, this is common on German vehicles, try putting the window all the way down then hold the button down for around 10 seconds then put the window all the way up then hold the button in the up position for around 10 seconds. This may take a few attempts, also try and Google your model car followed by window host stop position. It is common. Hope this helps.
