I bouth an comlete unit, en demount the buttons as you shown. And also mount the button ans you shown. 2 minutes work. Thank you for the tip! Total cost 39 euro!

OMG I was shooing 2 flailing flies out of my driver's side window and the button injected crooked and got stuck and then I was being seriously violated by the whole fly-fam...untilllll I found your video (right away!) and happened to have a life-saving screwdriver in my car and was able to pop the button all the way out with your guidance WITHOUT breaking the little locking tabs, and replace it...all of this was done in probably less than 1 minute. No exaggeration. Well done, sir.

THANK YOU! We purchased a used GLK350 that has this issue. Buttons seem to be pretty available on Ebay. Some local dealerships will sell directly to consumers as well. We have two new switches coming and they both came from Ebay. It looks like I can replace them pretty easily! Thanks!

BE CAREFUL people! this is not as easy as this dude made it look, the pieces that hold the buttons are very fragile to the point that I broke two doing exactly what he indicates. I almost had to replace the whole piece!

Was thinking the same tbh. Definitely not as easy as he shows. I spent 30 mins trying to take just ONE button off and I still can’t take it off and replace it. It’s been a few days now lol.

Bought mine on ebay , too . Not sure it matters but I have the 2 door coupe which took a while to find a seller that could verify the buttons fit the 2 door coupe . Used an automotive flat blade trim tool to remove the button since I don't have the skills to prevent marring the surround if I use a metal screwdriver . By the way - great video

Hey Flexx , Wow I watched your video a while back. And it just so happens on my c450 2016 my drivers side broken (plastic) I see how you just flipped it out and it seems so simple. My dealer quoted $184 plus 2 hours labor. Something about taking the whole door panel off. I’ll do some checking and see if I can do the same as that would save me huge $. Yeah just now thinking about it yeah one side it probably broken and not attached or clipped on so that makes a lot of sense.. I’ll let you know🤙thanks And to the other comment down below: of course you have to be careful that’s a prerequisite to taking anything apart.. And if you break a couple buttons that’s OK at least you didn’t have to spend mega bucks at the dealership and it’s a learning experience for you so there you go thanks again Flexx Well today I got my four buttons in from eBay they came with the little springs and a little pins all four of them they look pretty good you know it’s cheap anyway plastic you know like you said they do flake after a while but mine just broke off but anyway I tried to put them in and I got my window to go down but I couldn’t to get it go up so I don’t know what I did wrong I did it several times and boy those buttons aren’t easy to pop off as yours. My C450 Is a little bit different I suppose but yeah trying to put a little screwdriver underneath there and pop it up then I was on it it popped up and it was gone it went to the moon so I’ll try another one because the spring went to somewhere those things are a little you can’t find them so I try another one Needless to say I ran through all four buttons scratched a few up real bad trying to pop those things off trying to figure out why my window won’t have that tension in it I guess that little pin was vertical instead of horizontal so I tried it horizontal and snap it started working but I spoke too soon I flip the button it went all the way to the top and the window came back down about quarter away push the button back up it went up hit the top and it slid back down 3/4 away. So I had to hold the button up then the window stayed so I guess it ain’t working for me I don’t know what to do I guess I have to order one from a dealer $173 from the dealership and that’s plus labor I don’t think I want to try to take the door panel off and ruin something else but it was a good experience for 35 bucks . So anyway thanks

10/10 protip. Saved me pulling off the door panel and swapping out modules. I'd already bought a full non OEM switch module......so just swapped the buttons. Buttons are all a different shape on the C300.

It’s actually not that difficult to acquire those buttons. I had already ordered a $16 Chinese knockoff master window switch off eBay. Had no desire of removing the entire door panel. Saw how easy it was to remove the buttons with this video. The buttons from the knockoff switch fitted perfectly into the original.

Have you ever had to wire spli the master switch to another eBay purchased master switch, no plug in on the 2001 Mercedes S500, can all 9 wires be spliced so all windows, trunk etc work. My driver side window stopped working

Is there a less risky way of doing it? I don’t wanna break anything and it won’t come off like that anyway.

Damm good thing I search for another video like this. I wasn't sure about one that I saw, honestly I was nervous about taking it myself, was worried about breaking anything els, this video is much simpler to watch and it confirms that it will work on any model. I do have one more button to fix and that one will be tough cause don't thing it's replaceable. I have the open and lock door switch in that same condition, ugly as hell. I own a 2010 e350 and don't think you can do the same, or either I buy a new one or maybe used one I can fix that issue. What would you advice, anyone wish to reply I appreciate it thanks.

There’s not really place to get them. I bought mine off a guy on eBay selling 1 used one. They are hard to come by.

Great stuff as always bro. Hey off topic... The brakes on my wife's '13 C250 got super hard to press one day, she was lucky the interstate was clear when they failed. I'm suspecting a failed brake booster from research and trial (pump brakes while car is off, hold pedal down while starting car, the brake pedal should drop down at ease if booster is working). Anyhow, I followed the vacuum hose to the rear of the engine and found a little bit of play at the connector. Do you know if that's normal, if not, would you mind checking on either of yours and let me know? I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm surprised her C250 is having brake issues, never had any issues with any previously owned MBs.

I agree. I say this because I was able to remove one of the window power buttons by total accident and without even trying at all.

My 2014 MB 250 (w204) is suffering from this issue. I’ve bought few covers on amazon but all has been just stickers instead of the actual button cover. I’ve searched all over the web but haven’t found the part, yet.

I see that you car, like my, doesn’t have side mirror folding button. Is there a chance side mirrors will fold if we switch whole unit with one who has button for folding. Mybe there is preperation for that.....:-) Do you have any info about that?

I have tried it on a spare panel before i did that on my car and it's almost impossible to not damage hooks in the panel (even slightly) - button will not feel the same, it will get stuck sometimes, will not get back to neutral position perfectly, etc. It might work for you, but be aware that even doing it very carefully you may end up with a broken button and have to replace the whole panel

I have bought buttons on eBay. The biggest issue is the white outline. It's either not the right color or the logo is crooked. If I find a reputable source, I will update. NOTE: unlock button is not expensive but will require to take the door panel off.

Anyone knows how to change the lock and unlock button? I have issues with my w204 pre-FL C200K's combination switch(the one to turn on the turn signal). When I turn it on and turn left/right and go back to normal(either manually with my hand or the car changes course) the turn signal of the other direction turn on for 1 or 2 seconds.
