This is the best s class of all of the models I have a 99 s500 and I luv it I will keep it forever. Benz life!

I have a 500 SEL 92' and I love it, still the best car in the world after 30 years.

This is the car Princess Diana was killed in.

Had 2, both 5 litre, one coupe, one saloon. The smoothest cars I've ever been in, years ahead of anything offered by BMW, Audi and Rolls Royce at the time, but still not as stunning looking as a W126.

I agree. W140 is the better car in every aspect, but doesn't match the timeless elegance of the W126.

Muy cierto el V8 es una maravilla no se queda en nada, yo tengo un 500 SEL del 92, el mejor auto de todos.

Mercedes was once the best car in the world, extremely reliable and quality cars. Not so much today, if you can make it past 5 years of ownership without major problems you are lucky. Most people won't buy an S-class older than 10 years, because of how unreliable they are and the repair costs are just outrages!

@@leinadster Yeah for S-Class only. Not his last design overall, as he approved all cars designed up until March 1999. That includes so many 2000s cars, up until 2003.

As much as I love Mercedes of this era, you gotta admit it was quite shady of them to reverse engineer the Citroens Hydractive system and claim they developed their own system, rather than license it like Rolls Royce and Bentley did.

there is no air/oil suspension in the W140, only rear levelling.

Since the 68 6.3, DBAG has been using the Citroen type system

Raal motor car.

The only one with asymmetrically placed middle airvents. Not that good looking.
