idk why but these Benzes look so much better then the 2022 e classes. I especially love it in white it looks so clean.

Thanks - yeah I totally agree. I think though the original pre facelift 2017~ E63S looked great but yeah these are just have that classic but elegant mercedes look :)

There is still some Bruno Sacco influence in the W211.

W211 550 is almost same level as W210 E55. W211 E55K is another planet.

Yeah - the 550 is still slightly quicker than the W210, but not by too much. The E55K is another level yep :)

You will see the difference in 3rd gear and higher, also the 100-200 time will be different off course 😇 I have a CLS55 W219 (see my channel) and sprinted against a E500 W211 a little while ago. I reckoned the E500 would be way slower, but it surprised me!

Definitely 100-200 for 113k will be even faster :) CLS55 is nice!

A good launch with E55 on sticky tires and you'll get low 4 seconds With drag radials and a few mods you'll be in the 3's ;)

I can imagine mate it really is a rocket when it hooks up. I was on gritty rough roads here hence I did poor times in it. I want to take it to the strip soon!

E550 4Matic would be a wise choice

Problem with all m273 550 is the ecu mounted on top of the engine me9.7 doesnt like heat. The capacitors leak into the circuit board and then its fuked. This is an even bigger issue than it should be because benz only sell refurbished ecu's so high chance they have exactly the same problem already.

Interesting - i've wondered if that would affect them - even M157 the other day I serviced had same thing - ECU on top (but its derived from 273)

@@MohamedAli965 Change the capacitors out. But theres a high chance they have already leaked into the board which means its most likely a lost cause.

@@b58forever yeah true I agree it feels much better at WOT, and kick down is lethal, just this video the roads near us aren’t that good and tyres were reasonably cold so I guess that’s why :) but 100% the 55 is much quicker, just the setup / setting varies by how much it’s quicker

It's no fucking miracle at all. 0-100 is a way too little time-window to measure a shit. 100-200 is a number you can deal with.

the E55 is upshifting very early, mine doesn't up shift till 64/6500 RPM.

Stock they shift at 6100 I think, tuned they shift at like 65-6700. I have a TCU tune now and like yours mine shifts a lot higher

It's stupid to start in 1st gear. You have to start in 2nd gear on the first meters, at 40 km/h you can switch into sport-mode. In that case you can use the 2nd gear from 0-80 km/h without having a single gear-change and with it powerloss, but most important: You don't have wheelspin, which causes time. With wheelspin the car reduces the power anyway, so you have even less power on top.

Interesting - i'll have a go with 2nd, it usually bogs down quite a bit from memory - but i'l try that because yeah in 1st it wheel spins BAD... BUT with my new Michelin's it grips far better than it did in this video.

Now imagine the w212 m278 e550. I have one, in a coupe and it’s tuned with catless and custom intake. Sucker is stupid fast. You think the e55 in the video isn’t catching traction, my car spins with half throttle. It’s actually slower now from a dig because I can’t launch lol. But from a roller she’s a beast.

Yeah the M278 is a quick motor! I think AMG's from a roll are hard to beat. My E63 with the 157 i used to have was a nutty fast car - based off the 278 in your car, but mine was pretty stock still.

@@thatmatty231guy yeah m157 and m177 can’t be beat, but I bet I can give m113k and m156 a run for their money. The m157 was such a strong engine, such a shame Mercedes didn’t keep it and improve on it.

i think dude driving E55 AMg needs to learn how to drive. shifting at 5200 in 1st gear while in the E550 he revved it out. like dude really? as a owner of a E55 AMG please line up your E550. i assure you will be way ahead of your 5.0 0-60. video is tragic, please remove it , it is a disgrace to all E55 AMG owners

There is video on KZread of e63 vs e550 and there isn’t that much of a difference,Few car lengths. e550 moves. I have e550 but I rather have e55 🥵

@@APAstronaut333 haha I feel like I drove the e55 on the worst road tbh - too much wheel slip :) it’s definitely quicker than the e550 but the e550 hooked up well and goes strong to 100
