Hi. My 2006 w169 have some jolt and shake when it changing from 2nd to 3rd gear. Any idea what causes it?

Jolting (when releasing the accelerator, also during shifts) as well made me change all 4 motor mounts, but unfortunately this didn´t solve the problem. In my case it´s obviously a worn (left) cv axle, a common issue on the W169...

@@AUTOdidact77 as for mine, only when accelerating. Sometimes it happens sometimes no. Do u have any idea if its the gearbox?

@@mdazmi1603 It occurs when lifting my foot from the gas pedal while the clutch isn't fully disengaged yet and when re-engaging the clutch not careful enough - the lower the gear, the worse it gets. Feels like the engine suddenly tilts forward/ backward (which I know now is not the case). Besides that the left front wheel almost seems to lock when steering fully towards the right at very slow speeds. I couldn't relate those problems for quite some time but now I know it MUST be the cv axle. Didn't fix it yet, otherwise I would have posted a video already 😀 Other possible issues could be the motor mounts, the two-mass-flywheel (in case your car comes with one of those), the clutch itself and the transmission of course.

Actually they were alright, as well as the front ones... I had (and still have) a "jerking" issue when relieving the gas pedal in low gear. Now I know that it must result from a worn (left) cv shaft, video coming up 🙄

@@AUTOdidact77 i have noises when car is more of 3 people when i drive alone or with one passenger there is no noise from underneath , i think this is transmission mount or engine, noises are when manual trans is in neutral position , when i release cluth all is ok

Very strange problem i know construction w169 is very strange and i think this is broken mount i bought engine and rear mount meyle will replace in next week and check if is ok

Maybe you should just check them visually first. If they don't look all that depressed or worn, it may be another problem...

Ja, ist einer. Die hinteren Lager der Automatikmodelle haben andere Teilenummern!
Tolles Video! Vielen Dank dafür! Ich bin mir jedoch nicht sicher, ob es bei uns auch das Motorlager sein könnte. Wir haben in unserer Familie 3 W169. Einen A150 Bj 2006, A170 Bj 2009 und einen A160 Bj 2010. Die beiden älteren mit 130T km und 170T km geben im Stand bei eingelegtem Gang R bzw D ein sehr unangenehmes "gurgelndes" Geräusch von sich, sobald sich das Auto in Bewegung setzt und die Drehzahl steigt, ist das Geräusch komplett weg. Nächste Ampel... runterbremsen, sobald das Auto wieder zum Stillstand kommt, gurgelt es wieder. Schaltet man dann auf N, ist das Geräusch wieder weg. HILFE! Was könnte das sein?

Danke fürs Zuschauen! Motorlager kann ich mir schlecht vorstellen, das sollte dann zumindest auch von einer stärkeren Vibration begleitet sein... Ich würde einfach eine Sichtkontrolle durchführen an allen 4 Lagern (die vorderen sieht man so, für die beiden hinteren kurz die Radhausauskleidungen runter), einen Schaden bzw - bei den hinteren Hydrolagern - Flüssigkeitsaustritt müsste man dabei sehen. Ich habe meine 4 auch umsonst getauscht, das "Schlagen" beim Lastwechsel kam von einer (immer noch - Video folgt) defekten Antriebswelle. Wenn Deine Automatik-Varianten einen Drehmomentwandler mit Überbrückungskupplung haben, könnte es daran liegen, dass letztere im Stand nicht vollständig öffnet. Nach meiner "Ferndiagnose" eher ein Getriebe- als ein Lagerproblem - ohne Gewähr natürlich ;)
