MENTALLY ILL MAN MURDERS 2 PEOPLE WITH A SAMAURAI SWORD
30 yr old Mentally Ill man named Joseph Hunter Parker went back to his former employer and killed several people inside the store with his samurai sword. In this video, I visit the former albertsons where it all went down.

Yeah, I hate when people say "I didn't think it would happen here !". I know it can happen where im at. That is why I always stay alert no matter where I'm at or what I'm doing. And I carry a handgun everyday-everywhere I go. Even in my house and around my yard. Sometimes, the only person that is going to save you- is YOU !

This guy is trying to make a living from it, Joseph Parker from riverside California, if you are mentally disturbed do not hesitate to get help, prevention is nearly always the cure, we don't need to see a tragedy repeat itself because of schizophrenia, officers had no other choice but to kill Joe, he was violent had heard voices, displays psychotic behaviour, wouldn't listen to reason and tried to continue his killing spree, 2 victims at the end of the day, with others injured, wrong place at the wrong time, the massacre took place on that day, different day would mean different victims✅🗡

Mental illness is real but some people think these people are faking it. I know a guy who told me he was going to kill a person who pissed him off and himself with a gun he had bought but changed his mind. He told me this after he returned the gun. Thank God. And he is a mental patient.

So, so sad. If I were the victims family, I would sue the koo koos psychiatrist for not locking him up. I worked for employer who had a program with clients who had mental disorders, and disabilities. It was during this time in 2003. My client had szichophrenia. My duties were to develop his social skills. One day my employer asked me to pick him up and to visit the La Brea Tar Pits. I picked him up from Arcadia, and I drove on the 10 west. Then I drove on the off ramp on Wilshire Blvd. Since he was deaf, he couldn't speak so he signed languages me to stop, and turn around. I like an idiot listened. When I made the U turn, he jumped out of my MOVING vehicle, and started running away from me. I had to park my vehicle, turn off the engine, grab my purse, roll up the windows, lock the doors, but I ended up catching up to him. I was so scared that he may have hurt someone, because he was screaming, and was waving his arms up in the air. He ran to this house, and knocked on the door. I then heard a lady screaming. When I reached the house, it was his grandmother. WTF! The grandma told me that if he could stay with her and she would drop him back off to the half way house. I said alright. I quit my job that day. 🤯🤬

To be killed with a Samurai Sword, or a blunderbuss, or some other ridiculous weapon seems like adding insult to injury. It's bad enough to just be at work, or school, or Albertson's, and to be senselessly murdered. But to be saddled with "That's the dude who was murdered with a giant fake Publisher's Clearinghouse check!" is cruel.
That's a shame .it came too that.thanks harmin .stay safe..love your videos.
Really sad, not just for the victims but for the killer. He reached out for help but was ignored. Reminds me of the McDonald’s shooting. He kept telling people and tried to get help. Apparently the mental health system didn’t think he was serious and said they would call him back. He killed everyone the next day. Not that these are excuses! Killing is killing and they knew it was wrong, that’s why they tried to get help. But the fact that the system let them down is sad too.

Hi Harmin. Thank you for another respectful video. Another I don't remember hearing about. This is more of an epidemic than the damn virus. Especially for children. Horrific. Ahh thanks jim!! I appreciate the nice words! Always try to remember the victims
This is the result of our terribly flawed mental health care system, at it's very best in the US. Just another system that is broken and in dire need or repair and reform in our country. Each and every system needs to be completely cleared out and new, forward thinking, people who are not bought and paid for by private interests to help represent us and run our country. Until that happens, these tragedies will continue to be the norm they are. It is still not being dealt with. Taking guns out of the hands of people who do abide by the laws is not the problem or resolution. The root of this problem is untreated, misdiagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness, not an inanimate object that is used to harm others by people that NEED HELP and support. They closed down the institutions and let the judicial system bear the brunt of the mental health crisis in our country. It is shameful as well as tragic.
Harmon I Hope You Had A Great Thanksgiving. You Never Know Day To Day What You Are GoingTo Encounter. Tell Your Loved You Love Them And Live Everyday Like It's Your Last

Well I understand your point absolutely but I waited on hold for 45 minutes today to just get an appointment with my therapist. I have an appointment for a psych-evaluation in late December so getting that all needed help isn’t easy and I have had my therapist for two years but have to wait to see her until January because I missed my last appointment due to my child having her own new medical issues and appointments and my children come first. But that said I also have a 27 year old son who started hearing voices at age 15 and he went through hell and started using drugs to try to stop them like most schizophrenics but I battled with him for four long hard years and he OD once but it damaged his heart but he did recover from it the best he could is sober and only takes his antipsychotic medication now. He lives a good life with his best childhood friend whom both were sexually abused by a teacher at their school in 4th grade...... had I known I would be in prison but he didn’t say anything until he was 20. My son works full time at a Walmart in deli with his friend and they have a beautiful house and his friend drives so Walmart keeps their schedule the same. My son had disability not only for schizophrenia but other health issues like a double bend in his spine plus his heart and prostrate problems but he wanted to work and be as normal as possible while he is young and feels able. But I am just saying it’s very hard to get treatment when our country here in the U.S. has an overload of mental health issues and some can not get health insurance so I kinda feel bad for Joseph...... No! I don’t agree with what he did but my son had me and his dad and his best friend on his side Joseph may not have had anyone to help him. I know it’s tough to feel for someone who has done terrible things but sometimes I believe even if they had tried to get help they wouldn’t have gotten it and it’s a serious problem today.

Hello Harmon this is a very sad story of course. But I love that they put the plaque there for the two victims and memorial format on the building! Do you know looking at Joseph I would never guess he was crazy. Because he told his family he was going to maybe kill someone that’s a good time for them to get up off their butts and seek help for this dude before he kill people!
I was there the night before the attack. He was definitely still employed there but had missed a few days of work before he snapped. The store reopened a bit later, but then the grocery strike happened and we never went back (didn't want to cross their picket line because of what they went through). We moved to Anaheim shortly afterwards.
So sad RIP

What’s the point of having these mental health facilities if they won’t even help people that know they need help? This guy was obviously losing it and he knew it.
Very sad for everyone that was involved that tragic day...🥺🙏🏻
If he tried to get help and they basically blew him off. They should be held accountable, this one could have been avoided really sad
I don't understand how you reached the conclusion that a 9mm handgun "wasn't going to it cut it" and that the cop needed an assault rifle. The last time I checked a bullet by far out matches a sword, even a samurai sword. In fact, indoors at close quarters a handgun would have been infinitely more accurate and practical.
