1:03 “I still get scared… but it is more about how you get past it…” and 1:33 knowing when to not (go past the fear). Plus the positive performance statement. What great words to live by. This works for most anything in life. A lot of wisdom in this young lady. Thanks for posting this follow up to the previous video with Olivia. BTW - I have taken to emulating, the best I can, her micro railroad tracks as a warmup exercise for balance, posture, and centering my stance. Nope can’t overlap the skis, though. That’s not happening, at least not on purpose… LOL

I have been figuring out the absorption principle for some time now, but what Olivia shares with us is the icing on the cake. I've watched this video multiple times and have been practicing close ski to ski edging and realized I don't need to be as efficient on absorption as I thought I did. Front seat position is so important for both of these disciplines. I love the bumps and keep getting better, "especially when the bumps are soft." 🙂 Thanks Deb for your great videos!

It's amazing how Olivia is able to keep her skis glued together and makes it look like an unremarkable and simple thing. I have been wanting to learn to do that for a while, about 3 years and counting. Deb, That might be a good subject to make a video on - How to ski with a very narrow stance.

Though Olivia has all the charm and chrisma of a champion and many more years of achievement and goals she has planned with the mindset of becoming a world recognized champion in the Moguls which will be pain staking and inducing time the training on the slopes and the hours of devotion in the sport will not hinder her ideal desire and passion to become a world recognized mogul champion. A burn out for instance can call upon anyone that is Young and in their prime to suddenly walk away from the entire competition though however watching her on link she has all the tools and SWANK to put anyone to shame that even comes close. That's terrific. Not only is Giaccio not distracted by what competitors are doing...she is actually pleased that other athletes are learning her world class Cork 10. Not only for safety but just development of the sport the elite competitors should all be sharing information and ways to improve. Schiffrin used to guard what she deemed her "work product" as "intellectual property", but that's an unfortunate approach. Why wouldn't you want to face the competition at their best. Oh and by the way...mogul skiers look pretty good carving race turns. Not sure it's a transitive property. 😜 Best athletes in the world!
