1:03 “I still get scared… but it is more about how you get past it…” and 1:33 knowing when to not (go past the fear). Plus the positive performance statement. What great words to live by. This works for most anything in life. A lot of wisdom in this young lady. Thanks for posting this follow up to the previous video with Olivia. BTW - I have taken to emulating, the best I can, her micro railroad tracks as a warmup exercise for balance, posture, and centering my stance. Nope can’t overlap the skis, though. That’s not happening, at least not on purpose… LOL

More fantastic stuff! Crazy how Olivia’s skis actually over lap doing those micro railroad tracks! Thank you Deb Armstrong SkiHD! Not just Piled Higher and Deeper, Skiing Higher and Deeper!❤

I have been figuring out the absorption principle for some time now, but what Olivia shares with us is the icing on the cake. I've watched this video multiple times and have been practicing close ski to ski edging and realized I don't need to be as efficient on absorption as I thought I did. Front seat position is so important for both of these disciplines. I love the bumps and keep getting better, "especially when the bumps are soft." 🙂 Thanks Deb for your great videos!

It's amazing how Olivia is able to keep her skis glued together and makes it look like an unremarkable and simple thing. I have been wanting to learn to do that for a while, about 3 years and counting. Deb, That might be a good subject to make a video on - How to ski with a very narrow stance.

Hearing from the athletes themselves really puts it in perspective of how high level skiers think. They are normal people who have learned mental skills which likely help in all areas of life. It helps us to hear it.

Though Olivia has all the charm and chrisma of a champion and many more years of achievement and goals she has planned with the mindset of becoming a world recognized champion in the Moguls which will be pain staking and inducing time the training on the slopes and the hours of devotion in the sport will not hinder her ideal desire and passion to become a world recognized mogul champion. A burn out for instance can call upon anyone that is Young and in their prime to suddenly walk away from the entire competition though however watching her on link she has all the tools and SWANK to put anyone to shame that even comes close. Her grace and abilities are outstanding with talent and pride with gusto mixed in she will the one to be reckoned with on the slopes! Give thanks and praises for the demonstrations. ONE AIM ONE LOVE ONE DESTINY. DAKINE!

Thanks you. Loving these vids. I've never been a racer, don't huck, jump or do tricks, don't even parallel turn beyond a blue run... I'm just out for maximum fun on tele skis, but there's still so much to gain from this. Olivia seems so chill, and that is a perfect skier.

That's terrific. Not only is Giaccio not distracted by what competitors are doing...she is actually pleased that other athletes are learning her world class Cork 10. Not only for safety but just development of the sport the elite competitors should all be sharing information and ways to improve. Schiffrin used to guard what she deemed her "work product" as "intellectual property", but that's an unfortunate approach. Why wouldn't you want to face the competition at their best. Oh and by the way...mogul skiers look pretty good carving race turns. Not sure it's a transitive property. 😜 Best athletes in the world!

Great video, I noticed the positive statement was “I am a resilient competitor” not “amazing” because your brain knows if you are overdoing it and rejects extreme positive statements. Also had to laugh at guy in the gondola with two Olympic gold medals but thought his college lacrosse experience was more relevant.

I think that's because most people are looking for an all around ski. Something good in the bumps but also good in the powder. If that's the case, 100 under is good.
