    Gradual realisation from Meng Foon, and not profound at all, he needs to swing into action. Maori Party and Labour wanting separation of NZ to co governance. What a mess we're in in this country now. Kelvin Davis is a disgrace seeing how he treats other Maori parliamentarians making such racist inflammatory comments. He shouldn't be there.

    He sounds very ignorant, a lot of the things he says just sound like monologues and repetitions from values I've heard a lot from certain communities and people are mystifying him with BS, its just annoying that a race relations minister who should be completely unbiased and take the views of all NZers does not understand his role, he doesn't understand the country and the people he is living amongst and doesn't take it seriously and apparently whoever hired him doesn't take his job seriously either. So I would think this is a job that is a total waste of NZers money if this is how our money is being used. We'd be better off creating an app in which we all manage the country and just vote for whatever we needed and contributed money to it lol 😆

    It’s not a racist statement that genetics make some groups better at certain activities, most Polynesians are better at physical activity as shown in our contact sports. But the Maori Party should be very careful opening this discussion. There’s genetic variation that determines IQ and testosterone, with research repeated around the world that shows the increase in testosterone obviously increases levels of violence. These genetic markers are based in the Neanderthal genes and/or the lack of. The Denisovan ancestors which is Chinese/Asian shows a 5 point increase in intelligence from Neanderthals which is the European ancestor. We can drive by any NZ school and see who wins the educational awards and they aren’t called John Smith. The African genes show a 5 point decrease from Europeans genes.

  • @michaelschmidt1101

    This is not a competition we want to enter into because there is so much overlap in say, IQ statistics, and there is intermarriage and there are cultural factors. Incidentally, there are genetically determined body proportions that can determine ability at some sports and not good at other e.g., leg length.

    when you first read it yeah it seems kind of ok in the context, but the easiest way to tell if something would come across as racist is to change the word from "Maori "to say "White People" or something like that and post it on Nationals site, then how would it look and would Maori be ok with it? that's how I relooked at it and to be honest it looked pretty racist when you do that.

  • @questor55

    You're brave to even mention this in this day and age. Almost no-one seems to be capable of discussing genetics and IQ without their heads exploding. You'll see every counterargument falling into the "equity of the gaps." That is, differences in IQ MUST be down to other factors, poverty, health, historical inequities of every conceivable type, etc. I haven't read it but I'm interested in the theory of class-based hereditary genetics as opposed to simply race, something Charles Murray wrote about but rarely gets discussed, and might draw peoples' attention away from race for just a brief moment, which by god I'd be grateful for.

  • @winstonsmithsoul

    @winstonsmithsoul

    @@questor55 Another theory to hide our fears behind. The IQ pattern has been replicated in Europe, US, Britain and Caribbean. The results were replicated. The US and British military bump up scores for Black applicants, so as to meet the diversity quotas. Previously AI was used to cut down the application process and target the most qualified and suitable people. But the shortlist ended up with mainly culturally British people and some Chinese/Asians.

    Inequities of sporting allocation of funding is a problem now. What a clown, can anyone remember back to the "Halt all racist tours" Spring Bok tour. People were out on mass to protest politics in sport, that there were no Black Africans in the Spring Boks. Now it seems it's racist if different ethnicities don't have their own sports funding. The Maori All Blacks have their own team and you can only play if you have Maori Whakapapa and this is not racist? Can you imagine the outcry if there was a European All Black team, sorry Hone Whites only bro, no hard feelings. Seems like its only racist if its done by Whitey. The irony being a large proportion of Maori have European ancestry as well and could compete in that this team as well making a mockery of the race card anyway. All sports teams should be selected on ability, pure and simple, irrespective of their ethnicity. I couldn't care less if after selection the whole team was Maori and Pacifica people, I'd support them because they are our best. Maybe Meng Foon should be accusing the NZRB of racism because there are not enough Asians, Little People in the team, where's the Trans representation? There's only one ethnicity bringing race into sport and that's a few Race Hustling Maori and White guilters.
