not gonna lie the women's restroom line is longer and crowded and it pisses me off when they take too long so, I just go to the men's restroom.

Inequality like this absolutely does my head in. One place I knew of had a posh design with high-level cisterns in the female toilets, but just an old white tile design with nasty plastic cisterns in the male ones. This place luckily closed though. I wouldn't be suprised if I've been to more places with a nicer female setup than male, but I can't check for obvious reasons. I only know about that one because I was fairly young at the time, so waited in the female ones for someone

it's simple, all you need is toilets for human beings, solves the problem. I've used a coed toilet. It's not as crazy as you think. It's just a bunch of stalls and a bunch of people just doing shit that everyone does. If you need that much privacy you're probably being a weirdo. The bathroom is not for putting on make up. It's just for excrement wash hands leave.

Not quite equity! The men have nine toilets - the women have eight. Yes, a urinal counts as a toilet since women are mostly using toilets for urination. The larger entry/washup area in the women's toilets is because most women have longer hair than men, which becomes messy and needs combing every so often. How often do men need to comb their hair in the toilets? Also many women wear makeup, which has to be refreshed every couple of hours and they need an area to do this. Those extra toiletries in the women's toilets are not typical unless you are in a quality hotel or restaurant. 95% of women's toilets don't have them. In the end, women just want to get in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible - like the men do. And they generally don't get in and out as quickly as men because they have fewer toilets. Just go to any theatre or public entertainment venue at half time. The queues outside the women's toilets go for miles. There's seldom a queue outside the mens because urinals allow a much faster throughput. Women's toilets don't need fancy toiletries. They need a greater number of actual toilets.

Wow. You pretty much summed it up. I want to add social media and smartphones can prolong toilet use lol

I'm genderfluid. My appearance is versatile enough to use either bathroom. So I can say from experience: The men's bathroom tends to smell worse, have fewer stalls, but weirdly enough is more likely to be stocked with soap. The women's bathroom is the reverse of all that, plus there are little trash cans and dispensers for your monthly sanitary things. Sometimes there's a diaper-changing station (I've only ever seen one of those once in a men's restroom). A kid's toilet is very rare, and usually reserved for dedicated gender-neutral family bathrooms. All of those extra decorations and amenities you see are determined more by the location than gender, as is how well/poorly the bathroom is maintained.
