    You would still have to discuss if men and women were of the same importance and deserving of the same treatment in different situations. That answer would still be no, because, for example: when it comes to child birth, women are more important than men. So the arguement still falls apart under closer examination. Even in general, men and women aren't equal. Why do you think we say "save the women and children first?" That definitely is a difference in what type of treatment we deserve. Maybe if the definition we used for "equal" was "having adequate powers, ability, or means," then I could see an arguement for that being true. Maybe, but again, closer examination is required.

Equal does not mean identical. And of course the dudes here who can't understand that there are two meanings to the word equal also don't understand the difference between the two meanings of respect. One being "giving someone a high place of honor" and the other simply being "treating another human being with decency." Nobody is saying you "deserve" the first form of respect just by existing...

    @@anneboleyn3491 What are you talking about? There is a reason why sports are gender seperated like male fighting and women mma. By your logic women should be allowed to compete with men. If you are stuck in a fire, or your life is in danger I can guarantee you, you will need a big strong physically capable firefighter / police to come and save you. You wish a man came to rescue you, not a petite woman. When women got the right to be firefighters, join the army, become cops they had to lower the standards of the performance test so it fits both genders. For example you don't have to be nearly as fast at climbing ladders, you don't need the same level of physical strength because the fitness standards was adjusted to fit both genders. This is ridiculous.

  • @reezis1619

    @reezis1619

    @skaiu My point is the standards had to be decreased, the fitness standards so women can also pass the test. Before when only men searched the jobs the standards were higher. I never said it is all about strength, you do tests like how fast you can climb up an apartment. You have to complete it in a certain time. Men dominated women on average in those tests. Women could not keep up.
