Loved Cuba! Went there knowing that the food isn't fantastic and the buffets are repetitive BUT we certainly did not starve, in fact I gained 3 lb.s in a week and I don't drink alcohol! You do go to Cuba for the beaches, the people and weather!

My experience was night and day compared to yours. Went in September. Staff was amazing; most of them spoke decent English. Never had any issues with ordering food. Nightlife was fantastic, met lots of cool people. Agree with you on the food though. The buffet was pretty bad. Definitely bring some spice or sauce with you (we brought bbq sauce and old bay seasoning). We also mostly went to the pasta bar in the buffet, or the snack bar. A couple of points in your video made me cringe a bit; it is definitely not a bad resort by any means (if you don't laugh, you'll cry) - found that point a bit weird. Hopefully your next stay is better if you go again.

Thanks for watching, definitely have heard some mixed reviews on this spot. We spoiled ourselves with a Disney cruise and Costa Rica last year so it’s hard to compare this from that. Definitely not a horrible spot, and met a ton of great people that’s for sure.

Low expectations and you will be fine. Bring snacks, and condiments. You will love the beach!!

went in December and i got attacked so badly by fleas but i loved it other wise. its Cuba you know you go for the beaches and an escape from the cold ! the people are so nice. I will go back one day again to Cuba :)

Two beers and two bottles of water a day. A few days we didn’t get the beer. Small bottles of water, we would save the bottles and get them refilled. But then have to hide the filled ones when the maid came to make sure we got the two new bottles haha.

went with Sunwing, the Diamond club was worth it for me just due to the room upgrade. everything else I would not have paid extra for. Even the food at the beach was not policed, could use the Diamond Club hut without the Diamond Club bracelet.

Diamond club does not upgrade your room, it’s the beer/water in your room ( sometimes pop, beach food, extra meals,at the restaurant, extra restaurant for lunch and dinner. I think it’s worth it for the amazing service Fidel gives you. If you want a bungalow (what I recommend to avoid a room with Mold) you have to book el fresco. They checked for diamond club band when I went, I always take my band off, it messes up my tan. 🤣

We got the room upgrade with Diamond Club, but yes, the later check out was fantastic. Only two hours, but a good two hours
