Another beautiful video Claire!! Please use polarising filter in daylight shots that will enhance the vibrance and cut the extra light.(just my opinion).😅

Great idea! Thank you and funnily enough I did just that on the D3 Diaries road trip!! 😄🥳
I was recently holding a pre owned D3, I never owned one electing to go for the smaller and lighter D700 but I always find it interesting how those older bodies compare with our later cameras, highlight recovery and shadow performance etc. I still have a D2H from 2004 and it’s real clunky but it still works with it’s 4mp sensor. Anyway, a great movie Claire, it’s so important we diarise our adventures isn’t it.

Thank you for your comment, yes I think it is important. I used to do so much photo restoration for people and the stories and memories of their old photos were precious. I wondered if that would end up lost one day. When the hard drive is corrupted or the system goes down, how then do we reconnect with forgotten moments...

@@clairesschoolofphotography1767 I sometimes go through my old hard drives to look at old photos and it’s often a real shocker looking at poor composition and terrible exposure. It’s fair to say we’ve all come a long way in our photography journeys.
People laugh at Americans because most of us don't travel much beyond just a neighboring state. For those of us that live in western states there is still so much to see. One thing I would like to do is visit some of the big western parks like Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Teton and some of the more obscure but unique locations lihe Craters of the Moon National Monument. I take pictures for familes celebrating evebts like baptisms, baby dedications, adoption days, and the occasional wedding, reunion, or memorial service. I remind them that it's worth printing photos because digital images are just a hard drive crash or virus away from oblivion. Tornadoes are a thing here. Homes, along with computers and backup drives can be gone in seconds. I have been fortunate to be able to restore at least some of these shared memories for families that have lost every physical possession.
