Melly's Project 2007 Speedmaster Part 3 (Eagle Lights Install, Updates & Ride)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After a long time away, Melly and I are back out in the garage to install a 7" inch Eagle Lights LED Halo Projector Headlight on her bike "Sully", a 2007 Triumph Speedmaster. The bike has really come a long way and is now perfectly suited for Melly. Still a few tweaks / upgrades we want to do in the future.
At the end we have a short ride video out to our favorite spot, Eddies Drive In! This is a 50's style drive in dinner with car-hops on roller skates and a great retro vibe. Always some type of classic cars to be seen and of course some bikes. Hoping our busy work schedules will allow more time to make videos as Melly & I truly enjoy making them.
Cheers!

    Mel has gotten really good on her riding skills! Great video,Thanks for leaving me the list of upgrades on the bike.I am currently working on getting a 2007 speedmaster at a Pa.dealer.It has 5.7K miles on the clock.It's a clone of Mel's,apparently that was a popular color that year!It has some custom mods already,the rear fender is shaved and the rear led tail light and license plate relocated to the left side,bobber style.the rear fender remains whole with the full seat.I have my eyes on the brown solo seat that you purchased,the rear rack,trimming back the fender and dropping the rear.The bars,knee padding on tank and headlight will come later.I'll be watching those upgrades,as Mel's bike looks awesome! You guys rock!

    Sounds like you're going to have fun with the Speedy. I know Melly LOVES her bike. BTW, as a side note, the paint is a custom one-off from Triumph and is actually their silver for that year with a tinted clear coat before the final clear. Because of this there isn't any touch-up paint you can get from Triumph. Had a few chips to repair and we spent hours with the fender at multiple autocrats store trying to get something close. LOL Ride safe! Mike & Melly

  • @RenchRanch

    @RenchRanch

    3 жыл бұрын

    The risers are Barron Custom Accessories Universal 4" Kickback Risers. The old handlebar was a Biltwell 1" Tracker. The new one is just a slightly more pulled-back Tracker style bar from Dime City Cycles (1") with about the same width. It's a similar look to the Biltwell but with a little more rise and pullbacl. I was Cerakoted Midnight Bronze to tie in with Melly's pipes. Cheers! Mike & Melly

    Honestly I don't remember the length. We used Drag Specialties HD Style Mirrors in Black (from Revzilla.com) with British Customs Mirror Adapters to use HD stem-style mirrors. Here's the link to the mirrors but you will need some type of adapters to fit HD mirrors to a Triumph. www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/drag-specialties-teardrop-oem-style-mirrors-for-harley Thanks for watching! The white bike is a 2008 Yamaha XV1900 Roadliner that Melly's named "Audrey". Bought the bike used for well under market value and put a little work into it to catch up on the neglected maintenance. It's for when Melly and I just want to jump on a bike for a weekend getaway and take enough gear to have a nice getaway. It's a great powerful big cruiser perfect for 2-up riding. Handles great for its size. Cheers! Mike & Melly

  • @RenchRanch

    @RenchRanch

    5 жыл бұрын

    When I ordered the Eagle Light for my Indian Scout, their website didn't have any Indian's listed. So I just got the 5 3/4" 8900BH. My Scout Sixty's headlight retaining ring is painted so I had to file the inner lip slightly to get it over the Eagle Light. If you have a chrome retaining ring it should just slip right over. Otherwise it was plug & play. The Scout has a parking lamp lead like Melly's Speedmaster that was capped off with heat shrink tubing. Thanks for watching! Cheers! Mike & Melly

    Is the Speedmaster that fast on the highway to need that steer damper?

  • @RenchRanch

    @RenchRanch

    5 жыл бұрын

    Not really for the highway in this case. With the Speedmaster's rake and the extremely poor roads in the Detroit Metro Area, pot holes and pavement buckles tends to cause bikes to bump steer considerably. We have some of the worst roads in the USA here (seriously!). It also helps when a very large truck passes you on a 2-lane road. It was a gift and we think it looks trick.Thanks for watching!
