Makes no sense why a population of people would go from literal involuntary slavery to figurative voluntary slavery

Right that is a good question, but honestly this is a mindset that needs to be processed out of the society. For many years in this country black people were treated as slaves and even after slavery they were still mistreated and not given equality. only within the past 30-50 years have we been experiencing equality and it is still not in the way that it should be because there are old hate groups and others who disagree and who are uncomfortable with the changes that are happening. within a culture, things pass down through generations and become a way of life. so if you have black culture for example go through this traumatizing experience as a people group due to mistreatment and every time they have tried to succeed the society let by mostly white people had pushed them down that is gonna be taught to the next generation to where they continuously feel like they aren't good enough and they carry that same hurt and pain from their ancestors. but all in all it takes a person to decide that they need to be the one to get up and change. So I believe that things are changing and the cycle of misfortune and slavery mindset will be broken

Top Trending Memes, mostly questions about the story of David and Goliath (which we were studying at the time).😒 I questioned the worldwide flood, the creation story, Christ’s seeming aversion to wealth, the Sermon on the Mount story, and weather a Christ even existed. I questioned just about EVERY story in the Bible, but those above REALLY had holes that required an explanation to believe. While I had no knowledge of philosophy (and neither did those I was forced to question), I also had no one around me that could even tell me my questions (as a kid) were mostly philosophical.🧐 As I grew older, my questions became more direct. My family was ready to disown me for questioning the existence of many biblical characters, including Moses, Job, Noah, Isaac, a few other Old Testament prophets, even Jesus himself. There just didn’t seem to be enough proof of these men’s lives outside of the Bible to warrant believe. Hell. I found the women described in the Bible as “more believable” than almost any of the men.🙄 As a Black man, I began to question a just God’s role in things like slavery, congenital illness, infant death, war, genocide, famine, and other things that would explain the need for a god, yet also revealed the total lack of “divine” (or even “intelligent”) design operating in men’s lives.🤔 By the time I was 16, most of my family had just accepted that I was going to hell, and that my soul, “...was beyond redemption...”🤦🏾‍♂️

@Mylen Roberson no it's not her that's leading people to hell but religion and specifically the Black Church. I'm still researching but in the early parts l was confused to know that this problem with religion and the Black Church has become an epidemic! Looks like they the church is leading people to hell if it's really an epidemic. I couldn't believe what l was reading. I don't believe everything l read online but as l continued l knew these people wasn't lying because I've been there and experienced it first hand though I wanted to believe it wasn't true. I quit debating with people about all this and started doing research. Melissa is not lying and notice how many Black preachers are caught up in worse sin than the members they are preaching to. We can't keep quiet about all this because it's not going to go away. Whitewashing is not the answer. I've lived as well as visited the Black community often and it's pathetic! Sex being sold like drugs for as little as $5 to $10 dollars on the street. The church is mostly concerned about those people with money or providing the homeless with handouts which doesn't help them Change their behavior but instead keep coming back for more. HIV and AIDS is still on the rise because of the drugs in the Black community. I agree with everything she is on here saying because l was once stuck in the middle of the Black Church scene and it's ugly! White Churches do more for blacks than Black Churches. It's not her that's sending people to hell but the lies we continue to believe. The only thing Christians today can do is quote scriptures but that's not enough to get people to believe. We must come together and lift every voice to use it's power of expression via a safe environment to empower the people. No one should live in fear of a Pastor and his controlling ways! I would recommend research unless you just wanna believe what you believe, but "if he's a wise Man, shake him and wake him. If he's a fool, let him sleep."

If this nonsense has blown up to epidemic proportions something is really wrong. 4200 religions all saying they are right and the other one is wrong SMDH! Where is God when you need him most?

Do you really think that you should be following any ideas of that time? How is the answer to everything unexplained somehow is explained with God? Why do you think that the Universe was made to revolve around your actions and a book that condoned owning people as property and selling daughters to men for 50 sheckles? Not to mention beating them and stoning them to death. By the way more than half of the marriages in the world today are arranged marriages caused by man made religion. People still have women stoned to death for being raped also. Start thinking with logic and not fantasy land where everything is fluffy white clouds and you get to be rewarded by the creator of our universe for doing absolutely nothing but saying you believe in him. As an atheist, I've accepted responsibility NOT for dismissing or denigrating religious communities, but rather for understanding what value they offer their members. Besides the sense of solidarity and shared values, the Gospel of Community, wherein people are encouraged to help those with less, seems like a broadly positive social force. The Gospel of Prosperity, on the other hand, epitomizes to me what's wrong with our society. It both fosters the lie of a Divinely sanctioned meritocracy, and blames those who find themselves materially dispossessed for ill-defined moral failings. Given the worldly "successes" of many of its most prominent leaders, it looks an awful lot like a very cruel Ponzi scheme. 🙏

I've been really loving this new show "Pose" some of y'all have heard of it, and some of you have not. Anywhoo I was looking at some KZread videos of one the actresses on the show who was recently killed off which makes me sad, yet the power of the message it brought and the story it told was way more powerful than any of my trivial emotions could ever be...so ya I'm watching videos of this young talented black woman receiving awards and recognition from everything to lgbtq visibility to acknowledgement of Transtech on which she is the founder.... Right on right : )...........Not quite! I start running through those comment sections and begin noticing the usual trend of hateful, trolling, and belittling remarks, yet somethings different, a bit off........THEY WERE ALL WRITTEN BY BLACK MEN AND WOMAN....SHOTS FIRED COMING ONLY FROM THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY....I was fucking dumbfounded, when we see anybody coming up who seems to be a genuinely good hearted person we celebrate their victories right, and at times even more so when these talented individuals come from within a community we ourselves identity with, either whole or partial right! Well it didn't take long to spot the common ground that was shared within all the divisive bigotry...... and with that I'll leave you with two things, first is the few words I left with this lovely lady's keyboard cowards, wether or not I have the right to say them idk but I believe I do. Secondly is just a visual reminder of the deeply embedded corruption of the the mind that so many of our cultures have fallen victim to throughout the ages with it's incessant false proclamations that preclude all reason, or fact of any kind. That's why I hate it so much, that's why I view it for what it is, that is why you all need to WAKE THE FUCK UP, and unhesitatingly, and instantaneously remove it from your lives! To my people of color on this forum spouting out that "Biblical Hate " I have to say, I ain't mad at ya. I do understand that these religious ideologies are something that you have unfortunately inherited, an infectious cancer that, well simply doesn't belong to you. Although yes it has been passed down from one generation to the next it most definitely hasn't been with you always! See your ancestors had knowledge and ideologies, and power that far surpassed, in the most intelligent and beautiful ways, that of this poison that was once forced upon you, yet is now consumed so willingly. You do know that Christianity was forced upon slaves derived from Africa, and was used as a tool to control them by their white master's. The method and delivery was simple. What they did was use Christianity to drive fear so deep into the hearts of their property that it still lives in you today! They hijacked a Middle Eastern faith, took its God and made him white, so when they were done forcing that toxic sludge down your throats, it would in effect leave you a group of people's who would believe they are less than human, and not worthy of it's fictitious bounty. Religion has done nothing but slow down the progression of the human race, religion is only good when used as a weapon. The Faith and teachings of Christ weren't bestowed upon you, it was UNLEASHED.......And here you go today decades later spouting off ignorance and hate with the same rhetoric, coming from the same book, once used by the same Loathsome, Detestable, and putrid trash, who even till this day look down at you, think of you as less than, and in that same way they did when their first shipment arrived to the Americas. You remember that next time you say a prayer or go to church! It's time to free yourselves baby, those physical chains are gone, now it's time to break free from the mental ones, or just forever belong to your masters. To truly enlighten is to obtain knowledge and truth from many sources, to willfully stay in ignorance is to obtain all understanding from one book. Veto

I understand why several decades ago there was a need for a black beauty contest as they could not win if they were in over all contest. But that has not been that way in our nation for years. Tell me truthfully what would be the reaction in this country if there was an all white beauty contest? I think it would be rejected by all ethnic groups. I would oppose an all white contest, I am not advocating this at all. But how can we still have an all black one?

I mean honestly, WHAT is the goal of religion? Other than what... structure, balance, understanding. What do people ultimately want. I solely think its just fear of the unknown. Not having the strength to love yourself that you need a catalyst to help you and that's religion. Everything "you've" accomplished you owe to something you never known about for what... to acquire enough invisible tokens so you can go through the Gates of Heaven. I wish more for my people cause we can beeee so much further! Keep light in your heart always. Live with empathy. Embrace life & death equally, enjoy the ride... Cause we reaaaaly dont know... We want too... But no.

Glad to hear that God wants his people to be helped, to wit: what are pastors etc. doing in respect to the biggest health issue in the African-American community? The combined issue of obesity and diabetes is overwhelming the Black community and I bring it up here and now because I think there is a solution that ties in beautifully with religion. Dr. Jason Fung, a kidney specialist, has, through great medical scholarship has arrived at the treatment for both of these conditions. That is FASTING. No cost, no special food, no doctor's bill. My proposition to churches in the Black community is to form a medical committee to get together those who can benefit, get the information on how Dr. Fung advises to carry out the process, get answers to questions. But do it. It would be a blessing.

The majority of the continent of Africa were Christian countries until 500AD. Let me back track. The middle eastern nations, except for Israel, used to serve a multitude of gods. Muhammed married a former catholic nun who told him that he had to choose one god and serve it. So he chose al-i-lah now known as al-lah. This religion spread throughout those middle east people except for the Israelites.

I can appreciate your video, we have just done SO much better remembering our ancestors and picking up where they left off before they were invaded by christianity. , NIV: "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ." , NLT: "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. I've always wondered what black americans would be like if they were given Meditations by Marcus Aurilius, The Prince or the writings of Seneca instead of the Bible? During slavery Black Americans had. Absolutely no control over written information given to them, it was against the law for a Black American to have the ability to read. Books are really influential I'm simply asking would this proliferation of different God related systems be so prevalent in this community if they'd been exposed to something else more secular? Frederick Douglas had access to books outside the Bible he had an interesting life.

Back to 500 AD. So the middle eastern nations, except for Israel, decided to conquer the world and they started with the African continent. By the year 500 the majority of the African countries were true Christianity not catholics. They had been witnessed to by those who kept the apostles doctrine with the first one being the Ethiopian Eunuch of the queen of Ethiopia whose name was Candice. At other times it is historically recorded that the apostles went to several countries in Africa such as Libya.

If you were talking about some other youtuber's opinion, then you could say, "Well, I think..." But we are talking about the ETERNAL, ALL-POWERFUL, CREATOR of the universe. Who says, "Can the gods of the other nations (religions) tell you the future? No! They are mere lifeless idols." But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted. He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. The Bible thousands of years before this, instructed the Israeli soldiers to take a small shovel outside the camp and bury their waste. Doctors used to drain blood (blood-letting) from sick patients, but thousands of years ago the Bible said, the life is in the blood. It wasn't until a couple hundred years ago, that oceanographers discovered mountains rising off the ocean floor, but the Bible thousands of years ago spoke of these mountains. The Bible says, "It is God who spreads out the stars." Astrophysicists now say the very fabric of space is spreading out taking the galaxies along for the ride. Up until about five hundred years ago, astronomers thought there was about 4,000-5,000 stars. But the Bible in Genesis compares the number of stars to the grains of sand along the seashore. Astronomers now say there are at least twice as many stars as sand on all the beaches of the world. Albert Einstein in his paper on relativity stated that matter, energy, space and time itself all had a beginning. But thousands of years earlier in Genesis chapter one the Bible says, "In the beginning (a reference to time having a beginning) God created the earth (matter) the heavens (space) and said let there be light (energy). I don't want to make this so long people won't read it, but you can go any Christian bookstore and find books on the hundreds and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, in the Bible. There were 256 totally fulfilled prophecies concerning the birth, life, ministry, and death of Christ alone. So, God in HIS word has told of science thousands of years in advance of it being discovered by the great scientific minds of the world, He has spoken prophetic utterances that have come true, over and over again, in a literal, not metaphorical sense, again, to demonstrate His authority. He is God, we are His creation. This is His world, His universe. He is sovereign. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to His only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.

Hello Everyone! If you know you are valuable and if I have some type of dominance over you and told you that you are not valuable or that your only value is to serve me another human, how long would you believe that? History is overflowing with people who never accepted that lie. And before you say it, history overflows with people who died not accepting that lie. Or what if I took your history, distorted it to the extent that I made you nothing in history then fed you that distortion, how long would it take before you innately recognized the lie? How long would it take for you to say naw, I'm not accepting that lie? How long would it take for you to live differently than that lie. It's knowing you have been told a lie and then seeking THE TRUTH. What is our detriment is that we accepted and lived the lies we are told. Read The Willie Lynch Letter. Some say that is a made up story. I say read it and see if the behavior described- how to effectively program people to their detriment and keep them at that level- is true. If I tell a lie about The Truth, that does not make The Truth a lie. I just told a lie and maybe you believed my lie. Christianity as with all religion is filled with lies. YHWH still exists. I think that highlights a lack if personal responsibility for oneself. It is the very definition of laziness. If you want to be saved, SAVE YOURSELF!!! If you want to achieve a certain goal, BUT INTHE WORK REQUIRED IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL!!! People need to stop hiding behind the Bible, Quran, Torah or and so called religious book out there and start thinking for themselves. Finally, If you want to do good or be a good person you don't need gods permission to do so. Just be one. We need to learn how to love each other and respect and appreciate each others differences and I feel the religion gets in the way of that.

First, I must scold the speaker for referring to black people with a patronizing word, 'folks', that is more properly reserved for hobbits. Second, she seems delighted by the truth of this statement, but as the rest of the educated world shakes off religious belief, black Americans should be ashamed of their third-world level of piety.

Christianity was in the countries on the African continent 500 years before white people even knew of Jesus the Christ or His true Name the Hebrew one Yehoshua HaMeshiach. Yehoshua was hid on that continent in Egypt until He was twelve don't think that the G-D of Glory even in a Boy's body wasn't showing Who He was and Is while there. Also to let you all know another myth is that the catholic's were the first.

The first were those who were saved on the day of Pentecost those who repented of their sins were baptized in the Name of Yehoshua HaMeshiach and were filled with the Holy Ghost which made His presence in them known by giving them the ability to speak in the tongue or language of G-D , (no it can NOT be taught! It is a gift!), (Acts 2). The catholics split off in 90 AD. under the leadership of a man named Ignatius because he and his followers didn't want G-D to be the only leader no they wanted to lead themselves. After that they went about persecuting and killing the true Christians as well as Jews of all colours and black people who weren't Jews.

I find it interesting how many black people open the bible, read it and never figure out that the only people GOD LOVES are the so called BLACKS. COMMON SENSE.... COMMON SENSE is in the bible. The KINGDOM of heaven is described as a MYSTERY. The people GOD LOVES are described as ISRAELITES. ISRAELITES of the bible have been often mistaken for EGYPTIANS, or HAMITES. Egyptians descend from Noah's son, HAM. HAM is said to be the progenitor of the DARK RACES. The general consensus is that so called BLACK PEOPLE come from HAM. As I stated, HAMITE people have often been mistaken for ISRAELITES in the bible. The gospel has been called a MYSTERY by Christ. In a mystery you must pay attention to clues. For example: TWO WORDS have always BLINDED people when reading the bible, the word WORLD and the word WHOSOEVER. When people read John 3:16 the word WORLD can only have ONE MEANING. But when they read 1 JOHN 2:15 all of a sudden the word world becomes different. Suddenly it doesn't mean EVERYONE. Lets see what truly happens to those GOD LOVES: Hebrews 12:6-8 For *whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth* and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But *if ye be without chastisement whereof all are partakers then are ye bastards and not sons.* All that education and Mrs. Perry doesn't know she descends from the Israelites. That is like having dementia.

Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the father showing us how to pray to the father. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!

@@jenaybrown4575 No I wasn't born into Christianity because there is no Christianity in the bible. I am a Christian, but I don't follow the religion called Christianity that the roman Catholic church started. I follow holiness which the bible told us to be. Ephesians 1:4. I follow the way they did it in the book of Acts and I experienced the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in another language as the spirit gave the utterance, after I repented of my sins. That been over 40 years ago. Still today I can feel the presence of God when I'm praying. Sometimes when I'm praying I can see a bright light I believe is the glory of God move before me. My thing is to be a witness like in Acts 1:8. I hope to do a book on all I experienced after getting saved. I have a book coming out soon, titled Be Ready! Jesus Is coming! by Ronald Drumgo. God bless you!
