What a nice compliment, comparing Melissa to the great Tina Turner! I think they would both be pleased.

OMG yes
She performed at Tina's Kennedy Center Honors. She has short hair in it because she'd just finished chemotherapy for breast cancer. It's awesome.
Check out a band called Heart. Lead singer, song writer Ann Wilson and her sister and lead guitar, Nancy Wilson. The band began in the 70's and makes appearance yet today. Live video Crazy on You -- look in to it. You won't be disappointed.

That song is so kickass! The acoustic at the beginning and then the sick bass line kicks in and then her strong voice carries the song from there. I always crank up this song when it comes on!
I can't understand why I never see reactions to Linda Ronstadt! Like: You're No Good, Its So Easy, Ooo Baby Baby, Long Long Time, Blue Bayou, When Will I Be Loved or one of her many famous duets like I Don't Know Much with Aaron Neville. She crossed over many genres, but started out for years as the best female vocalist in Rock.

Melissa is one of my favorite artists. She is REAL, not glamorous. She puts so much passion in her music. Everything she has done is great.
What a voice..another great song by her...Come to my window..
I agree, in places Melissa sounds very much like Tina! I was thinking that I had heard about Melissa being very petite, so I looked her up on IMDB. Melissa is only 5Ft, 2In tall! Such a HUGE voice for someone so tiny! Of course, we also know about singers like Christina Aguilera (also only 5', 2") and Ariana Grande (5', 0 and 3/4") who have MASSIVE voices in such tiny frames. Nothing short of miraculous when they sing! :)
Lol, you got the message right...except she's talking about her girlfriend finding another woman - not her man. The video might make more sense knowing that. Check out Come to My Window.

I've seen her live several times, before and after she came out. The crowd changed drastically after. Instead of a mixture of men and women, it's turned into 90% women attending. She turned into a beacon of acceptance to them, a haven, if you will.

Melissa captured me with "Somebody Bring me Some Water," with her raw passion and power. I've seen her three times -- her concerts are great.
I have not heard this song for years. Melissa Etheridge has such a strong voice. She is great.
Have seen her in concert 6 times and have enjoyed each and every one. Love her voice.
Melissa has some SERIOUS vocal range-power !!!!
I think if she was to start out in today's time she would have had a lot more recognition for how great she is. It was a different time back then.
She's got such a powerful voice. She's probably the best female vocalist still going from the 90s...Ann Wilson of Heart is one of the best going from the 70s. And, I have to say, Pink and Jessie J are the 2 most powerful current vocalists (and both are immensely underrated).
Such great rocking blues....love her vocal...
Was the production coordinator on Melissa's "No Souvenirs" video after she first achieved commercial success. She faced major opposition as a "female rock guitarist" ... playing in Los Angeles, and trying to get a record deal. A sweet and down to earth lady who preferred hanging out with the video crew, instead of the label elite that visited the set. I am so happy for the longevity she deserves. ❤️ .
This song was inspired by her relationship with Lou Diamond Phillips (eventual ex) wife Julie Cypher. It's debated weather or not she and Phillips where together or not when she and Melissa got together.
Melissa ROCKS!!
Her voice is very earthy a lot like Tina Turners! I'm glad someone else heard that. It wasn't prevalent throughout the whole song but it was definitely there in places. The raspyness in her voice is great!🎤🎤🎤🎤 I really enjoyed this song. 😊🌹
She is one of the few female vocalist that bring back the grit started by Tina Turner, Kim Carns and Janis Joplin.
You HAVE to check out Bonnie Raitt “I cant make you love me” another great one is “Wicked games” by Chris Isaak
I'd love if you checked out her duet with Joss Stone - Another Little Piece of My Heart live.

Well well well, Ty, another great reaction. She has a fantastic rusty voice. I love hearing her belt out those notes. The only thing that you didnt get right was that she wasnt singing to the guy in the video. She was singing to the girl. She came out quite a few years back. She is one strong bad ass woman. I love her music. Thanks for the reaction. No disappointments yet again from you,,,, you Modern Renaissance Man. Blessings ☺☺🙏🙏☺☺
Thank you for reviewing Melissa. She has been one of my favorites since "Somebody Bring me Some Water." Such raw passion and honesty in her music, you know it's always from her heart.
I love her so much, and I love this song. I'm so sorry she had a recent tragedy to put it lightly, all my prayers and love Melissa, and David Crosby
best song of hers i love ❤️ 🤗🤗🤗 💜🙏💜
One of my favorite rock female voices of all time!! She has many songs you may want to check out as well, and just a fun fact that you may not be aware of, is the Melissa Etheridge is out gay, and very proud of it, and I believe she was talking about a girlfriend leaving her for another woman or man :)
Great reaction. Your whole face lights up when you like them, it's awesome. Have you ever heard Jessie J? Her performances on singer 2018 of Earth song and Purple Rain were out of this world. Her original stuff is amazing too, one of the most talented women around right now.

Melissa Ethridge has numerous unmentionable songs
This is my fave female artist and rock chick, she plays one mean 12 string guitar live, and she may not always have perfect vocals, but the power and emotion she puts into songs blows my mind, whether its in your face telling you what for, or a vulnerable out pouring of her heart like her cover of the weakness in me live and alone tour, amazing live too
If you want some serious Melissa Ethridge, try Somebody Bring me Some Water. Also her MTV unplugged was amazing.
If you could.check out Heart crazy on you. The lead singer Ann Wilson has some pipes!! Keep doing great work love your channel man. God bless
She absolutely does sound like Tina Turner & was one of her idols!!! You should check out one of her later performances after she suffered from breast cancer, and performed bald, along with a great soul singer, Joss Stone, in a dedication to Janis Joplin, you won't be disappointed :) Here is the link if you want to check it out or react to it :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGh9y7SLj8Kqh8o.html
Love Melissa, her music touches your soul. Great composer, songwriter and singer.
she's actually sing to the girl. Melissa is out and out spoken about her sexuality. Love your comparison to Tina never thought of that until you said it and now I hear it. Love both of their music!
One of the best songs ever 👍
Great artist great song
She is awesome rocker love her
Do her Bring Me Some Water. Also amazing live video on Grammys as she was going thru chemo. She does incredible duet w fabulous Joss Stone who’d you’d also love I think. But such an incredible performance. It’s 2005. Please do it.
Melissa Etheridge is amazing live!
I never thought about it before, but yeah, there is a touch of Tina Turner in her voice.
Love this song!!
Love Mellissa Etheridge, she is not only a fine singer, she is a great songwriter. I especially love "Bring Me Some Water" and "Sleep While I Drive. I agree the video was a bit of a mess and I know why. Melissa Etheridge is a lesbian and this was in the early 1990s. They tried to fudge the video to make it more "palatable" and ended up with a bit of a DL mess. But the song is great.

It's pretty silly, too, because by the time this album was released she was publicly out as a lesbian.
Constant Craving by k.d. lang. This song just inspired that thought. You will not be disappointed!
She does Janis Joplin the best ...she was on fire back then ..I seen her more than all of concerts I went to 4 different states to see her and got met her in NYC..boy brings back a lot of memories..
I love watching your reaction to a song I've heard a million times. You make me feel like I'm hearing it for the first time.
The guitar at the beginning reminds me of someone else you need to listen to.... Joan Jett... either "I Love Rock & Roll" or "I Hate Myself For Loving You"!!!!!!!!!!! Or Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" or "Something To Talk About"
You really have to hear Mellissa Ethridge do Brave and Crazy! You would love it
Huge fan of Melissa! Every song she does is passionate! I never noticed, (and I was here when she started), until you said it, but you're right. She does sound a bit like Tina. I love all her music but my fave by her is I Need To Wake Up.It's all about the msg. Come to my window, another great.
Come to My Window is another of my faves from Melissa Etheridge
Allison Moorer- Send Down An Angel. Great voice.
I'm giving you a thumbs up before even watching the video, because you're going off the beaten path, and I like that! I'm pretty sure I own this CD.
Great reaction!! I love Melissa 🖤
Her voice is phenomenal.
The way you were looking at that chick dancing, Melissa would be looking at her the same way if you know what i mean lol But in all seriousness, i loved her back in the day, she was ( is ) so good, all her songs are great :)
love love this song
Melissa Etheridge is a fantastic rocker chick
Love this woman after Heart 's Ann Wilson my favorite female singer , I've seen her twice in concert here in Montreal, did you know that when the Bell Center open the first show was Celine Dion, but the last show at the Montreal Forum ( a classic ) was her's. And I was there and she brought the house down. She always said that she had a special place in her heart for Montreal and that night she proved it. You should check out Like the way I do or Similar Features.
Always loved this song. She has a really strong powerful voice.
Luuuv Mellissa!! One of the few artists I keep on my car playlist for road-trips :)) ... Although fyi, I think she was probably singing this song to a woman lol...Check out Tracy Chapman too - 'Give me one reason' & 'Talkin bout a Revolution'
Janis Joplin, You don't know what it's like. My favorite Janis song. It's a cover. I forget who did it originally, but her version is amazing.

Her tribute to Janis Joplin is probably the best live performance I've ever seen . She was just getting done with chemotherapy so she bald But man does she look beautiful singing that song Jos stone was incredible also . Love Her voice kzread.info/dash/bejne/a3qrrsGhpdm_mrQ.html

love this song!!!!!
700 Houses by Susan Tedeschi, it's a song about New Orleans after hurricane Katrina
My go to karaoke song 😂 love it!
Forgot about her. Awesome voice
I use to dance this song.
My fav Melissa song is still "The Angels Won't Have It"
She had that passion because she was speaking from the heart, her own lover.
Killer song! I've always liked it. Wish I knew how to send u request....
I think You should do a reaction to Deep Purple song Child In Time. Do the 1970 live version, it’s from a BBC tv broadcast. You just might like it.
Nazareth - razamanaz. Max Webster - paradise skies.(battlescar is a must also). Lee Aaron - metal queen. Poppy Family - where evil grows. Terry Jacks - seasons in the son. Pat benatar - hell is for children. Supertramp - bloody well right.
Triumph - lay it on the line. another great Canadian 3-piece band, and soooo under-rated. also, deep purple - child in time. lita ford - close my eyes forever.
the first Grammy she was nominated for went to Tina Turner who hadn't record in ages. she got robbed. I remember when she came out people that knew her but didn't know she was gay said things made a lot more sense.
When she sings the song of Janice Joplin is awesome.
AHHHHHHHH Melissa Etheridge! Try “Come to my Window”
This is a great song!
