From acclaimed director #LarsVonTrier comes the most stunning and compelling film of the year. Winner of the European Film Award for Best Film and the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress (#KirstenDunst), #Melancholia is a beautiful film about the end of the world.
Justine (Kirsten Dunst, SPIDER-MAN) and Michael (TRUE BLOOD's Alexander Skarsgard) are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg, ANTICHRIST), and brother-in-law John (Kiefer Sutherland, 24). Despite Claire's best efforts, the wedding is a fiasco, with family tensions mounting and relationships fraying. And as Claire tries to maintain the party's celebratory spirit, Justine struggles against her own dark demons. Meanwhile, a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth...

As long as it's depression and not bipolar disorder, they just throw SSRI's at it, so what difference does it make what it is? I've figured out a rule of psychiatry. The disease is being adequately treated when the patient stops complaining.

This doesnt happen often though. Like anyone else(I suppose), within art forms, I deeply relate only to a certain few ideias, emotions, feelings, when expressed in a particular way. remembering when I was a kid, the thought of space and meteors colliding with the earth, and black holes; terrified me. In school watching sped up solarsystems spinning around in an absurdly unlikely planetary synchronicity, was nail biting... watching this as an adult, finishing up the movie with a sense of... detachment from such an impossible "science fiction" event. Only to be reminded later, of those childhood anxieties. That, this is/ was a true story of the human experience in the event of a planetary collision, which has never been an zero chance. If not by this modus, if by another, the earth will cease to exist. This will be some poor souls experience if life continues for long enough. life as we know it will come to a close, and there will be no "life out there" to mourn the loss of our history or futures, gone in a blink of an eye. No one to feel sympathy or grieve our annihilation. just apathetic silence oblivious to the trivialities of our sphere of existence. There is a lot to take away from this movie, and many angles to look at, and a myriad of readings to take. But, if you take only the purely symbolic and existential carpe diem, I can't help but feel the gravitas of the statement "enjoy it while it lasts", is lost. because something of this magnitude will come to pass.

@@ChildlessCatLady13 I was prompted to look it up. I thought, it was odd that we didn't know when it would happen, since we can accurately simulate predictions for planetary movement into the distant future now. So perhaps it is sooner than we think. and yes, it is predicted that there is a slight chance earth will collide with Venus or Mars in 3-4 billion years. If earth is indeed 4.5 billion years old, if that does come to pass, sadly half earths life is already spent. we are the half way point of earths existence. Everything will be gone in less than the time it took to be where we are today.

Whatever happens, I Know I don’t know you, but I hope everything works out as well as possible. I struggle with depression and periods of pure guilt, feeling like there’s no logical or possible future day where I’ll be happy the way I wish I could be - and somehow it happens. It doesn’t make sense sometimes, but life just has this way of giving you a new chapter, and it can be so random but it can make everything feel so much better. It might be easier to get there if you talk to someone, anyone you think could be good to talk to. Therapy has been really good for me, and talking to well-intentioned friends and family helped too. Even a random everyday conversation with someone might feel like a nice event. I don’t know I’m no expert, just guesses. But I really hope you feel better :)

Things are going to get bad. If you don't believe in Jesus, now is a VERY good time. I hope this blesses you and brings a smile and hope to you. ♥ On Aug 27 at about 313 AM, in my somewhat sleep, I heard - He’s bringing the rapture at the speed of light. From nineplanets I read a bit on the speed of light. Saw this: We know that nothing can surpass the speed of light, at least in theory. If you’d have the power to move with the speed of light, you could go around the Earth 7.5 times in one second. Oct 26, 2020, I heard - Biden Harris July 31,2021 I heard - Stay in the Word. Aug 1, 2021, I heard - Do not fear what is coming. Aug 9, 2021 - Surge. Isolate. In 2019, I heard - famine and plague. Jan 26, 2021. Heard - War is coming Shawna. Better prepare. Prophesy. April 9, 2021, before going to bed, my vision went black for a quick moment, and then I saw in gold letters: Thus saith the Lord. About four hours later, April 10, during my sleep I heard: Prophet. Tell them I am coming soon. Maybe 3-5 min after that, at 1235 AM, our area had a small earthquake registering 3.1. In April 2019, I heard - Tell them I am coming soon. Later in the day I heard: There will be a great shaking. When I didn't tell a particular church about it, I got a dream where I was scared. I could hear myself saying: I'll tell them, I'll tell them, I'll tell them. Then I saw a person in the dark with well lit windows behind him and another person dressed in white walking behind him and up some stairs. Dec 20, 2021. I had a dream of an eagle on a power line. I was standing below and looking up at the eagle as it sat there, calmly, looking around. Then it started to morph into a dragon. Then I was above that dragon looking down at it with its wings spread open. I could see the black veins in the right wing. I was in QFC one day and a song caught my attention. I believe the Lord wanted me to hear it. It's called - Get Closer by Seals and Crofts. (also look at lyrics). Supporting scripture - James 4 vs 8 and Zechariah 1 vs 3. Admit you are a sinner (we all are), believe in Jesus and that He died for you (well worth it), call out to Him to save you.

So on 10 April 2024, someone from the ceremony mentioned about this Meteorite that will pass in 2029, and it will pass under the Earth's highest satellites. But - Dont look up ! So today, I decided to look up anything online about this comet. Click , leading to click, leading to this film Melancholia being mentioned. SO: What is the film about you might ask. Well, I have to spoil the fun for you if you continue to read, because It turns out there are 2 Films being shown here together. ! Im not kidding. The film starts off, by telling as information embedded into images. So we are shown a series of bizarre, but then somehow familiar at DNA level too, on a consequential feeling, which turns out to be the sum result of not many, but Infinite feelings. The ALL is the ONE, the ONE is the ALL. So the the Films are told in reverse order related to each other / from a linear time perspective, within each of these two film perspectives. Imagine the 1st Film is told in reverse and the 2nd Film unfolds in linear forward motioned time. So both films tells a perspective of the film's topic, albeit polar opposites of each other, but yet the same topic, Human experience. This unique combination, presents to the viewer Duality in an extremely genius format, from within a unity-consciousness perspective. As the second film, develops during the four, sub-films as they stretch our ability to read energy presented, rather than the mere depiction of images on film. The task to follow what is being presented becomes a task. This is the best gift of this film, it bestows upon you the gifts you are resonating with currently. It mirrors our frequency back at us, so we innerstand from this point forward, depending on our authentic Self's resonance. I am the messenger of these truths, as they are my Truths, for We are ONE. But Wow, to think they released this film back in 2011 about the events that will unfold for us all in 2029. PSSS; This is a True spoiler alert about this Realm. Please do not continue to read, if you dont wont me to spoil the entire point of life. The end of the film, is a test to see if you innerstood the film or not. That's all I can say.

First half of the movie was simply trash. I thought about turning it off several times and be done with it, but now I just wish I would have skipped it. There was nothing worth there. The second half of the movie was good. Depressing but good.

Jesus can take your depression, and make you a new creature. I know because He took mine, and His love took many of my friends' depression and loneliness. I know it sounds crazy from a state of depression and unbelief, but once you surrender fully, the truth of our Creator shows you the blinding craziness of depression and unbelief, and the beauty of love and redemption that stands against the drowning waves of weariness and fear. Please please please, never give up searching for Him and His saving righteousness. He's calling to you, because God loves you so much! Start with the Gospel of John, 4th book of the New Testament to see how Jesus conquers all through real love. "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 28:13 KJV

The movie throws through the window any physically correct laws remorselessly. Almost zero coherence with the gravity laws and you may say "but it's fictional not a doc" it's a SCI-FI do you know what means "sci"? Science which means the movie must be minimally coherent with scientifical evidence.

There is already a comet on it's way, discovered in 1983.. do you really think the globalists and scientists want to share their underground bunkers with us?? they don't talk about it, (there are 8 billion people in the world) . cos it would cause panic.. just keep storing your water purification tablets and pray.. have a great night !

What a waste of a great cast. Probably the least memorable film out of the past 1000 I have watched and some of those were absolute stinkers. No words can describe the ick I got watching this. No one with a Christian understanding of life and marriage would accept this film's so-callled prophetical nonsense and false philosophy. It's trash. Christ is the only real reason for living. Not sex or procreation or riches. Everything else is meaningless. Eternal Life through Jesus is the ONLY THING worth pursuing. And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
