As someone who lived there for four years doing a degree, it will never not be weird (in a good way!) seeing my literal favourite street corners and hangout spots be there in a movie. My most romantic memories happened in the exact same places as this trailer...it's a very romantic city.

The actress Rose Reid is American. Her character is a North American student who gains a scholarship to Oxford University. The film is based on the memoir of the same name by Canadian author Carolyn Weber.

Either my picture of Oxford is wrong or they are all about 5 years too old.

It does say she's working on her doctorate so she'd be a bit older mid twenties to late twenties depending on when she applied.

They're exactly the right age if they're DPhil-level post-grad students. I did my undergrad at Oxford and by fourth year I had quite a few postgrad friends who were in their late twenties/early thirties at my college.
