I agreed with you. I don't really understand why do the rulers of the subcontinent states stand against each other in warrior role. While I watched during my staying in Europe people from this regions specially India-pakistan used to live together friendly.

I am 32.. Listening it since 2012..and had been searching for it since i was just 7 when ..my sister and mother used to play it on radio.. I love this ghazal and voice, since my childhood.

A great singer like late Mehdi Hasan born once in a century. His voice is a gift of the creator.

Hearing this Gazal for more thank 30 years now and still has the same charm as it had the first time I heard it
