Legend Mehdi Hasan Khan Sahab , love him so much... ..( My Nana was born in 1905 Jaipur Rajasthan and Nana,s parents also came from Bagar Rajasthan (Jhunjhunu ) , very close from where Khan sahab family came... shortly few years after 1905 set sail for Fiji Islands). No one can ever sing like him...i listen to him everyday.

There has never been anyone like Mehdi Hassan!! He will always remain the greatest ghazal singer ever!! Rest in peace legend!!

Mehdi Hassan was a great singer and was a Master singing keeping Raag in mind and never went out of the circle. But i wish if he had the chance to sing with Indian Musician who could compose better music then Pakistanis as composition counts a lot..

Ali Syed Just so u know mate, it's Pakistani Musicians who made Noor Jahan What Noor Jahan is today. it's Pakistani Musicians who made what Mehdi Hassan is today. Just so u freakin know Mr. Lata Mangeshker was introduced into the Film Industry by Ghulam Haider who Later Preferred to come to Pakistan. It's Ghulam Ahmad Chisti who Educated Naushad whose an indian famous musician. It is Pakistani Maestro Khawaja Khursheed Anwar whose Disciples are of Shanker Jaikishan and Roshan. just do your home work boy, before you take a Sh!t through your mouth. Thank You.

This must be either your religion, your family or your friends that you learned form them who taught you to use those bad word. Please try to learn some manners and etiquettes while on the forum. I was trying to say that India Musicians have a vast circle in India than Pakistan. One of the son of Master Ghulam Haider is very close friend of mine. You talking about Khursheed Anwar and Chishti Sahib, Jut tell me in how many movies they have scored Music just a few and according to you their students Musician range goes over 200 to 300 and in biography of Indian Musicians there is nothing mentioned that those were the assistants of Paksiatni Musicians. Noor Jahan had established her self before partition.

You are right Ali Syed. Pakistani music is crap as compared to Hindi music during Mehdi Hassan’s time. He would have flourished in Hindi film industry.

the date mentioned 1970 is not true since pakistanis are bad at recording their history. the opening song "mera pyar tere jivan ke" is from 1975 movie. so how can the interview be recorded in 1975????
