He got fired for criticizing Israel and as a Muslim he understands the terrible things that IDF did against fellow Muslims. However, if you look at his interview with Julian Assange's family he was dismissive, brought up CIA talking points and totally ignored evidence to push the security apparatus agenda. He is only on the right side of these issues when it affects him personally or the establishment gives him permission, otherwise, he's perfectly fine with carrying the establishments propaganda like his interview with Matt Taibbi.

I remember the hateful rant by Jonathan Greenblatt. I knew from that point on the MSNBC had to follow CNN adn Fox in just putting out propaganda manure for Israel. CNN and Fox are totally impossible with their Israel/Gaza coverage. Anderson Cooper makes sure that he interviews one woman or family after another crying and whining about the Palestinians. He asked one girl the most stupid question as she was talking about the raid or ambush "Did you cry"? She was even caught off guard. Anderson wanted tears and more tears. Maybe they could have given her some tear producing stuff before the show.

I doubt he was brought in for being a Muslim and for advocating for Palestinians as AIPAC controls the messaging in all US mainstream media. His interviews and presentations are well researched and he asks follow-up questions in interviews. That is not disingenuous. However, I agree with you about the ending of his show. As I said, AIPAC controls the messaging and after he roasted Mark Regev, the Israeli spokesman, like a skewered rat over a fire, most people expected his show to end.

“The people of South Africa will never forget the support of the state of Israel to the apartheid regime.” ~ Nelson Mandela on being released in 1990 In 1977, the United Nations passed a mandatory arms embargo against South Africa. Israel has repeatedly violated this mandate, equipping the white minority government with a number of weapons, including missiles, several kinds of aircraft, long-range missile boats and other lethal equipment. Israelis have also trained South African troops and provided advisers to the apartheid state in its military attacks against Angola.

Love Medhi, but I refuse to have ""X", so I hope he uses YT. I watched Ali Velshi on Friday night, and he was ON FIRE about democracy, about supporting Ukraine and opposing Putin, and he was unusually hot under the collar. His coverage then of the massacre in Gaza, where he looked straight into the camera and said "That Israel killed over 100 Palestinians desperate for food", daring MSNBC to shut him down was fire. He then had on top notch guests to speak to each matter. He's a huge asset to truthful, intelligent reporting.
