I am an American, never heard of Meghan before she married Harry. Catherine, Princess of Wales invested her first years of marriage to William, educating herself on Royal duties, starting their family, and bonding with the other Royal family members. Meghan, I do not believe she spent even six months trying to learn , and understand, the Royal family. Despicable that Meghan and Harry refused the Queen's invitation, while they were already in country, to visit her Majesty at Balmoral, knowing how frail she was.

I will not believe she made the jam herself. I’m an American home canner. I’ve been canning my own strawberry jam and many other foods for 40 years. There is no safe way to process jam at home in the US with one-piece lids. The lids on Markle’s jam are one-piece lids. In America, only 2-piece lids are approved for safe canning, and once the jars are filled and capped with a lid and band, the filled jars are submerged in boiling water and processed for a designated amount of time depending on the recipe used and the sea level where processing is being done. Those jars are commercially made because they have one-pieced lids and only commercial facilities have the proper equipment, unavailable to home canners, to process the jams safely with one-piece lids.

The sheer number of strawberry plants needed to produce enough strawberries that ripen at the same time to make 50 jars of jam is obviously unknown to LA PR people. I don't believe that she even bought the strawberries, and she DEFINITELY didn't make the jam! Can you imagine her actually putting in the work to do it? Hell's bells, NO! Imo, she bought some jam (and there are plenty of people naming a certain brand, something like the Small Batch), and just took off their identifying labels (and probably the lids as well), reheated it (so she could say that she'd 'made' it), then either put it back into the same jars or identical ones, stuck her own labels on, then passed them off as her own 'hard work'. Hell, I bet she didn't even do that much. My bet is that she had someone else do the work, and she wrote the numbers on the jars so that she could say that 'her hand was at work '. Not technically lying, as in she wrote the labels, but still lying if she's claiming to have made it by herself. And there's NO way those strawberries were grown in her 'back garden'! She makes Pinocchio look like the most truthful character ever.

From a jam maker - that much jam requires about 100 quarts of berries, far more than a home plot would produce at once and picking that many would take at least a day. The you have to clean and destem them, mash, cook, sterilize jars and lids, etc. etc. Megan would never do all that work - nearly a week's worth. It would be almost as much as she's done for her "charity"

I would be glad to not have received a jar of that jam! I wouldn’t trust her!! She has such a dark side and such a need for fame, plus add desperation to the mix… I wouldn’t trust that jam anywhere near my home! First off, it’s NOT strawberry season, it hasn’t been warm enough, not to mention where did they supposedly “grow” the strawberries? That takes a bit of ground if you’re going to be selling it commercially. Only one thing wrong with MM story, apparently the soil and climate in Montecito is not conducive with growing strawberries and soft fruits. It's great for Lemons, Olives, and Oranges tho. 😂😂😂😂

If anyone believed she grew enough strawberries for 50 jars and then actually made the jam then those same people must believe that everything she says is the truth and nothing but. Seriously there’s no way, she might have made a few jars of jam as it’s such an easy thing to do but a commercial amount there’s no way she would work to do that.

it's barely the beginning of strawberry season here in California. there is no way she grew enough strawberries, let alone them being ripe enough, for 50 jars of jam.

Where is her paperwork from the state, the ingredient list, the calories and proof where it came from. The state is pretty strict about that!

Agree, being able to make jam is no great feat. Not sure what's to be gained by seeing her mix 3 ingredients in a pot. It's just as easy as making toast. (Referring to her previous tv cooking appearance)
