This movie and it’s CGI still hold up today! I remember watching it in the cinema when I was 7! When I rewatch it, I still feel all of the emotions I did in that theatre. As much as I love the reboots, and the new direction. This movie will always have a special place in my heart

2:35 we see Starscream take a swing at one of the Raptors, then change back to altmode and get on its tail. Then, we see the Raptors strike Megatron. But they're busy fighting Starscream, aren't they? If you look closely, it's the SECOND F-22 that hits Megatron with a missile. And then again, an F-22 flies over Megatron but the one behind it hits Megatron with 2 more missiles. The F-22 pilots were too busy with Starscream to deal with Megatron. The F-22 doesn't carry AGMs. One of the F-22s shot multiple missiles at Megatron. Which Decepticon turns into an F-22? Which Decepticon, coincidentally, wants Megatron dead?

Their was two waves of F22s that came to the city the first wave came in and took out blackout along side Lenox and the second wave got like 4 planes shot down by starscream while the others broke off the ones that broke off shot at megatron while the ones Starscream went after chased after him

5:15 Didnt realise how sad Optimus looks at the destroyed All-Spark till now. The CGI was so good. There's also that sad beep noise when he clenches his hand. The same one Bumblebee makes when he gets sad.

So at the end it wasn't Optiums Prime that killed Megatron. Sure Sam ended him by shoving the cube into his chest but it was really the airstrikes from the mighty F-22s that brought the great Megatron to kneel.

I think the first two sequels would have been better if the writers had expanded upon the returning characters from the previous movies. Like with Sam and Mikaela being recruited in the military by Lennox and Epps. Why, you might say well in Dark of The Moon Sam said he wanted a job that makes him matter. And well, if he was recruited after the events of the first movie and the start of Revenge of The Fallen he would have become one of the two true founders of NEST and with some military training, he would be one hell of a soldier. Hell, Lennox and Epps would train him themselves since they would have been moved by Sam's sacrifice of the Allspark to destroy it and kill Megatron as well. For Mikaela, she would be in roughly the same boat as Sam, with her being recruited and trained by Lennox and Epps, but also by a soldier experienced in repairing military vehicles and eventually the Autobots. She would also be the second of the 2 true founders of NEST. Why do I want Sam and Mikaela to be the founders of NEST? Well, they did make first contact with the Autobots and thus spent more time with them than the soldiers. For the Hackers Glen and Maggie I would have them be recruited by Secretary of Defense John Keller to be a part of an Advanced Signals Analysts Team or ASAT for short to continue to study the Decepticon's signal and use it to monitor for Decepticon communications to track wherever they are located. For Agent Simmons and Tom Banacheck, I would have them be advisors to Glen and Maggie to teach them what they know of Cybertronian symbols. That way they could understand it better than by themselves. For Sam's parents, I would have them not being comic relief as their original counterparts. I would have them be supportive of Sam and Mikaela with their relationship. Also, to have them bring advice to the both of them if they need it.

My dear young friend. Let's just say that optimus himself and megatron got quite huge history in transformers franchise... if only you understood how close they were. If only we wanted to understand why they were fighting through this war for reason. Their morals being opposites to challenge with. Putting all aside from what rest of sequels didn't get this right from everything optimus stood for. Wise... brave... strong enough to be gentle against our darkest hour. From every choice that optimus has to make... there is sorrow in his voice that he didn't want to kill off megatron. Even though he had to for sake of every sentient being at earth.

I'm sure no one else has noticed this. The plot armor of this ending is insane. Why would the Allspark kill its victim? In the next movies they used the remaining shard to revive Megatron. It just doesn't make sense why the cube would destroy something if its main purpose is to create and revive Transformers. So dumb

Actually it does make sense, at least to me it does after watching Transformers: Prime. When a transformer dies, he becomes "one with the allspark". In this particular case, he literally becomes one with the allspark, his spark (his heart basically) reunites with the multitude of others within the allspark. Later, a dead transformer can be reborn because the allspark gives him the spark back basically.
