What is Megaesophagus in dogs? This is the story of Thomas, the German Shepherd puppy.
About IndyVet visit indyvet.com/
Thomas is a four month old German Shepherd puppy who was found as a stray. He was born with a heart defect called persistent right aortic arch, meaning his aortic valve and a certain ligament did not rescind during development in the womb causing megaesophagus. Megaesophagus in dogs can be life threatening. Thomas can’t keep down his food or any liquids, and has contracted aspiration pneumonia as a result. This is his story and how IndyVet, an emergency vet hospital, saved his life.

Very sad as it's a serious medical condition for the pups, but it's always cute watching them eat in their little special chair 🐕 ❤

Omg who could resist that little face. And I did not know surgery could repair megaesophagus? Or was it for the arch issue?
