Scott Peterson was found guilty nearly two decades ago. Many people are still in turmoil about the case, however, due to the lack of concrete evidence. Despite having already done two videos on Scott, I wanted to wrap everything up with one final super episode centered around not only the admitted evidence but also the nonverbal communication from Scott's very first interview with the police from the very night of the incident.

    Good comment. One major difference is that Scott hadn’t told his side piece about his family and Chris did. Scott bought a boat and built anchors 2 weeks ahead and Chris didn’t. Chris had a rage issue. I think he had a hidden life of choking and rough sex he was hiding from everyone, and the pressure of having to fake being a normal dad just had him losing it and lashing out at everyone and everything. Scott calmly deliberately executed his plans. Both were psychopaths just different psychopathy and MO’s Edit: rather, Scott lied and said Lacy was already dead to the mistress.

    Same with Chris Watts. "I could get a divorce... but then there might be some child support involved... I guess I could just murder my whole family instead." I almost hesitate to call it evil, because it just seems like something in their brain is broken.

    Men like this are such egomaniacal narcissist that they don’t want to look like the bad guy that cheated on their wife and got divorced. If people think they’re a grieving widower they’ll get sympathy and get to keep all the money they would have lost in a divorce. It’s truly a have your cake and eat it too situation. They get rid of their unwanted “problem” and responsibilities, get to be with their side piece, get special treatment for being “so brave”, and have zero financial consequences. They’re such ego maniacs that they think they’re smarter then everyone else and can fool the world.

Like dude, you sit still while fishing and get such a heavy breeze off of the water. It's gonna be colder fishing than golfing. My dad is a pathological liar and also cheated a lotttt on my mom growing up and he reminds me so much of him it’s crazy to watch. But part of why I believe body language is hard to read for him and why people find him to seem genuine or why people like him may pass polygraphs is because when so much of your life and what you say is a lie it’s just the truth to you. They just don’t process it as a lie when they’re talking about it, it’s their reality they have built and another version doesn’t exist to them. My dad would even tell me if he wanted to completely forget a part of reality and replace it with something he made up he could and he would never remember it differently again. He thought of it as a game and would literally alter parts of his own reality just for fun sometimes.

I have met and was friends with a lot of people like your mentioning. They have no problem lying and can even convince themselves of their lies. You're right! It becomes their truth! Also, if they can justify the lie with themselves and really believe they are in the right because of their "propped" up reality? They will become very convincing! I also wonder if some can pass a lie detector because they have no feelings or fears about what they are saying.

    Scott’s croaky voice always reminded me of a kid pretending to be sick so they don’t have to go to school. Also, is it possible that when someone looks like they are recalling information, they are trying to remember what they rehearsed? I feel like he came up with the word ‘glorious’ well beforehand.

  • @IzzyCanterra

    @IzzyCanterra

    I actually also think that he chose to speak highly of Laci and their marriage because he thought it made him look good. If your marriage is "glorious", why would anyone think you would kill your wife? If your wife supposedly didn't stress you for having an affair, why would you kill her? If everything was peaceful and as great as he pretended, why would you end it like this? Also, talking highly of others makes oneself seem more sympathetic too. Scott surely knew that and he knew that the public's perception of him would impact his future. I would also think he made his voice sound like it, as you said, to appearance like he is in pain when he wasn't.

Especially if I am going into a long story or explanation. I feel this intensity while I am looking at someone’s face/eyes as they’re looking at MY face/eyes, and it’s like I can’t focus on what I am thinking about because of the intensity. And so to get my thoughts together and out, I need to look away from them. I think it’s hard for me to connect with people or make friends with other women this way. That's purely subjective and analyzing body language is not a science...its left to interpretation and therefore is not accurate just as a polygraph is not accurate. Laci would likely still be alive today if police did their job and followed the actual evidence, tips and sightings instead of just pursuing the husband and ignoring crucial evidence. He didn't dump her body in the bay. It just didn't happen. He had a 14' boat. He was seen at the marina by three people. Does it sound logical that a guy is going to kill his wife and take the chance of dumping her body in broad daylight. He needs to back the boat down the ramp and leave it there for anyone to see in broad daylight including anyone from the hundreds of people that live on their boats all year round. There was no forensic evidence, eyewitnesses, video surveillance etc ever proving the States theory. We even have the SF Medical examiner (Boyd Stevens) explaining to the lead detective that it would be highly unlikely that 32 lbs would submerge the body. It would just float. He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots place either body where they were found. Conner was even found above the high tide line and water break. Full term, tape stuck to his ear and plastic wrap knotted around his neck that had to be cut off, not far from a plastic bag which was never tested.

Dr Allison Galloway determined the baby could have even been alive as far along as Jan 14th. I was 24 years old so close to Laci’s age and it just gutted me. I personally think he strangled her the night before and that it was semi premeditated. He had planned to kill her and dump her at night and then leave to go golfing that morning for an alibi but it took longer and went awry so he had to regroup. That’s why he needed the umbrellas that morning to hide her body and he forgot to actually take them out and leave them at the warehouse. I think he thought he was so smart that he’d never get caught and that he’s just a sociopath.

    I’m from Modesto and having seeing this man so dang much back in 2002/2003/2004 on the news, me and my mom knew almost immediately he either did it or knew more than he was saying. The town had, and somewhat still has, a high population in drug use and homelessness, especially in the park/creek near where they lived, people pointed the finger at the homeless men in the park (but they were probably the most helpful the first couple of weeks with the flyers and looking during the winter). I asked my mom why she thought he did something, she said, “Look at him, he looks like he doesn’t want to be there! And he doesn’t sound like his wife is missing, does he?” I was 10 when this happened and I didn’t really see it the way she did, I just had a weird feeling about him, and the fact he was rarely speaking on TV, her mom did most of the pleading for Laci and Connor’s return. He just came off so disinterested in finding Laci, he looked so at ease when the cameras would capture him, but he’d stiffen up once he saw a camera. Those days of seeing him on the news was so weird and I thought of her family must’ve felt uncomfortable around him before they found Laci’s remains.

    About the first part of the analysis: I usually do eye blocking as soon as I have to talk about me, no matter if it's about me as a person or something I've done, even if it's just trivial things like putting something on a table,etc.. I developed this behavior, because I grew up in a toxic household where everything I've told about me got judged and ripped apart. It's kind of my flight response. That's what his constant eye blocking in the first part reminds me of. *I'm not saying that it's his reason, too. I just wanted to give an example, what else could trigger this behavior.

My therapist told me over a video session we had lately, while I was doing other stuff and fidgeting while talking about my evasive and extremely unpleasant roommate "I feel like you are doing other stuff while you speak to avoid the feelings connected to what you are talking about." Once I sat still, she said I seemed to get extremely sad. It's funny how we will literally avoid all discomfort with so many coping mechanisms. And we don't even realize it. When this first happened in 2002 I lived down the street from Scott and Lacey, I did not know them, but I was the same age as Lacey, To believe Scott did not kill Lacey and Conner, you would have to believe that someone was intent on framing Scott. Because a few months later their bodies were found in the San Francisco Bay. They talked about the park and possibly a homeless person murdered her. Why then take her and dump her in the Bay? why not leave her in the park. How many homeless folks have vehicles in good enough shape to even make it to San Francisco? Or the gas money? Or the desire to frame Scott Peterson? It makes no sense. Occam's razor, the most simple explanation is usually correct. Circumstantial evidence can be just as compelling as other types of evidence. Where Scott stored his boat, detectives found evidence of 5 large planter size cement anchors where made, only one anchor remained. There is a ton of evidence in this case, Circumstantial or not, A sociopath, pathological liar, who was cheating on his wife, wife goes missing, then her body shows up a few months later exactly where he went fishing a two hour drive away, So I guess he thought the Bay would be warmer than golfing in Modesto? He said the young woman was wearing black pants and a red shirt. He said she had a scared look on her face." 4. Jan 3rd, he went to the Command Post in the park and relayed this to the officer on duty. Over 40,000 pages in the discovery and nothing about this report was in it. 5. February 2003, Harshman’s wife spoke to a relative of hers who lived in New York about the sighting of Laci Peterson near the corner of Scenic and Claus. Mrs. Harshman’s relative shared this story with an NYPD detective. This NYPD detective was so concerned that he contacted the MPD and spoke personally to Detective Grogan on February 14, 2003. What did Grogan do with the information? Nothing at all. 6. pre-trial hearings in May of 2004, DA Investigator Kevin Bertalotto noticed the Harshman tip and insisted that Grogan call Tom Harshman and speak to him personally. Grogan did this on May 18, 2004. An audiotape and a transcription of his conversation with Harshman to the defense on May 20, 11 days before the beginning of the trial.

    Okay so this is a common about him telling his wife about cheating while she's pregnant. I'm a pretty level-headed, open-minded, forgiving, and easy going person. Now keeping that in mind, I've been in Lacey's shoes before, when I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter it might have been 7 months excuse me, I found out my daughter's father had been cheating on me. He wasn't just cheating on me at that point in time no no I know he was cheating on me throughout the whole pregnancy, and almost the whole year before that. And I'll tell you what when you're pregnant it doesn't matter how level-headed and calm and accepting you are, I don't know about Lacey but I went nuts I'm not going to lie I cried I didn't yell I just cried and cried and cried I got angry but when you're pregnant you know that any kind of stress for the baby is not good I got angry I cried some more I called my mom I freaked out plus you didn't remember though I was also 21 I don't know how old was he was. Your hormones are all over the place cry at something that should have been funny you see what I'm saying so when you're pregnant you're hormones take over and there is no rationality to anything. Unfortunately I did stay with my daughter's father because we are in Kentucky I am from Maine I wanted to go home but I didn't know how to get there because his family so I panic I panic and I called my mom I called my dad I didn't know what to do I talked to one of my best friends at work I just yeah, it's really hard to say what each individual person will do in response to finding out they've been cheated on but when it's a woman that is pregnant with someone's child and they find out that person is cheating or has cheated it's not going to be a smooth transition it's not going to be oh that's okay we'll get past this. I was angry I was stressed out I wanted to cry non-stop because I knew I was pregnant with his kid even though he had telling me it was somebody else get even though I never cheated on him which should have been my biggest red flag. But like I said before everybody responds differently to things but when a person is really finds out her husband fiance or boyfriend has cheated and you're pregnant with her child no no honey there is no acceptance there is no oh I'm okay with this we'll get past it there is rage sadness confusion Wonder like what did I do to make him cheat on me those are just the steps that I went through and then you breathe you grieve your relationship because at that point it's pretty much over even if you do stay together we ended up splitting up when my daughter was three he ended up becoming very not just verbally abusive or mentally abusive he started becoming physically abusive in front of my child so I had to end things you would like punch me or anything like that he would push me hard enough for me to fall over or trip over a table and hurt myself and say it was my fault because I was clumsy so yeah anyways I that's just my opinion in a long roundabout way sorry for the lack of punctuation at the end there just kind of went off on a tangent in my talk to text.

    I never understood how it was too cold to golfing so he decided to go fishing. It's colder on the water than it would be on the golf course. Not to mention that he wasnt an avid fisherman making this random fishing trip seem even more sus. Why did he keep this boat a secret especially from people that he would potentially take with him? He and Chris Watts are 2 peas in a pod. They are too selfish, cowardly and greedy to end their relationships like most adults would. Plus the fact that they thought they were smarter than everyone else and no one would ever think they could be capable of. PUNKS is what they are and I wish there was a way to make them suffer the same way their victims did. To give them death is too easy. They deserve to suffer for the rest of their life.

She kept an immaculate house and loved to cook and entertain their friends They had a pool and nice backyard. When you have a pool you have people that come over to swim! Alot of people! That morning they watched her favorite show Martha Stewart. His family all loved Laci too Hrr family all went to the media to say Scott was innocent until Amber Frye came forward.
