ONE of my favourite places to stay in the world.. good waves and great food and lifestyle 😉
Visted Mundaka alone two years ago, forecast was terrible but I really wanted to feel the vibe of this place. Didn't surf, it was flat as a lake... Even tough I was completely amazed with the place! I spent the night fishing and drinking beers with some locals from the rocks, and got to hear many stories about the village, the wave, but specially the local surfers and how they dedicate a huge part of their life to this wave, and has said in the video, they really live for those 2 hours of low tide, when all the elements combine and create one of the longest, fastest, and most perfect left-hand barrels in the world. Just magical.

These guys are an inspiration not only for basque surfers, but also for surfers all over Spain. It's awesome to see where they are at right now. Jon Aspuru is behind the lens in this video and he deserves a lot of credit as well. He has the ability to make these great, cinematographic edits that draw you in. Hats off!!
