For Jackson to be so creative as a child... his mind is GENIOUS!

I still own my VHS of this amazing film, I will never throw it away! Wow young Richard Taylor looks like Joe Lycett!

Really enjoyed this. It's been decades since I last saw Feebles. I have seen it on the big screen, though (and Bad taste and Braindead). Jackson's first three films were smash hits on the film festival circuit back in the '80s.

It's funny he mentions the prerecorded audio. I think one of the worst, cheapest looking parts of the movie is how everyone's mouth moves too much when they're speaking. That explains why. I'm pretty sure some Muppet audio is recorded live via headset mics and stuff.

You'd be wrong, they also use pre-recorded audio, as is the standard with all puppets. It keeps thing on que & everyone in sync.

It was screened on an early morning TV show in New Zealand back in 1989 and as far as I know it has never been released anywhere else.

from the imdb trivia section for the movie: "The production team could not get hold of blank rounds for the M60 machine gun that Heidi the Hippo uses in the film. Therefore, in the climactic ending when Heidi goes on a murderous rampage, the firearm she uses was discharging live ammunition."

@@guidadiehl9176Exactly! The actor playing the hippo even shoots directly at the camera, without breaking the glass. Do you HONESTLY think the film company would allow the director to play with peoples LIVES like that??? 🫥 That's the reason MTF are ignored by 99% of worlds people, because you make them believe that people were in life threatning situations for real, involving a heavy machine gun!
